The Nature of Procrastination

Procrastination, if properly traced, always comes from a variety of sources, this could be fear of failure, perfectionism, lack of motivation or interest in the areas of task, or simply being overwhelmed by the load that comes with the tasks. Sometimes It may not always boil down to the usual fact of poor time management but is often rooted in deeper psychological factors. When one can spot all these underlying factors it is then easy to overcome because it is the first step towards addressing the habit of procrastination.

Immediate Impacts of Procrastination

Firstly, one thing procrastination does to you is that it will increase the level of stress, when you realize that you have a deadline to finish up a particular task and the days left is just few, then you will panic and will want to compress everything and do it in a short period of time and that cat will lead to stress.
Secondly it will decrease the quality of the work you are doing because you just a short period of time to finish up the task you will end up rushing and it's always result in low quality work because you are running out of sufficient time to do a review and make corrections where necessary before making the final product which may get to spoil the entire work.

Thirdly, procrastination if constantly practiced in a professional setting strains one's relationships with either college or the head of your department. This may lead to getting a reputation of not being reliable and can limit your chances of getting promotions and other opportunities. It can even lead to not getting your salary. also in your personal life it may lead to destroying of family bond and trust as they no longer see you as someone who can keep to time or promise

My personal experience

Personally, I have found a simple method that works so well for me, because I was once a serious procrastinator and I know how muyi have lost and the relationship I have missed because of that habit, since I came to this understanding that I have been missing out of life opportunities and can even get sick just because I want to do everything in a short period of time while I can still do it on time, at my convince and well deliver. I had to find a simple method that works for me by sleeping early and waking up in the middle of the night until morning. Yes oo in my house everyone knows I sleep from 8pm and will always wake up in the middle of the night either to read or work, this has gotten used to my system. This unconventional schedule has become second nature to me and it allows me to be productive during those hours when the world is still quiet and cool. It might not be the traditional 5 AM start, but it provides the same benefits of early rising, tailored to my natural sleep patterns.

I will go sick if I try sleeping by 8PM 😅 my body has gotten used to sleeping at 12 or 1 AM, and the day I find myself sleeping very early, then it means i will go sick the next day. The funny thing is that despite sleeping late, I still wake up as early as 6 or 7 AM and I usually schedule my daily task to start from 7 AM
