Bueno este fin de semana nos visitaron unos peluditos bastante hermosos en casa y hoy les traigo el cuento completo. Antes de empezar les digo que desde hace unos cuantos meses he tenido unas enormes ganas de tener un conejito y esta experiencia hice que esas ganas crecieran mucho más.
Todo comenzó una tarde-noche cuando mi hijo estaba recogiendo unas cosas en el frente de nuestra casa. Yo estaba trabajando en algo y el fue hasta nuestro cuarto para decirme "mami, los conejos de los vecinos están sueltos y se están saliendo a la carretera.
Le dije que tratara de agarrarlos y luego lo pensé mejor y decidí salir para evaluar la situación. Él me dijo que había visto a estos vecinos salir con cosas como para vacacionar, así que lo más probable es que no volvieran durante todo el fin de semana.
Dejar los conejitos a su suerte para mí no era una opción, pues hay muchas personas mal intencionadas y además ya hay un historial de perros del sector que se han comido conejos de otros vecinos.
Me aterraba la idea de que esto les ocurriera así que comenzamos a idear un plan para resolver el problema. Cabe destacar que estos vecinos nos caen súper pesado pues desde que se mudaron han sido súper groseros.
Pero los conejitos no tenían la culpa, así que decidí ignorar está parte y ver de que forma podría ayudarlos a sobrevivir.

Well, this weekend we had some very cute little furry friends visit us at home, and today I'm going to tell you the whole story. Before I begin, I should mention that for the past few months I've really wanted a bunny, and this experience made that desire grow even stronger.
It all started one evening when my son was picking up some things in front of our house. I was working on something when he came to our room to tell me, "Mommy, the neighbors' rabbits are loose and running into the road."
I told him to try and catch them, but then I thought better of it and decided to go outside to assess the situation. He said he'd seen these neighbors leaving with things like they were going on vacation, so they probably wouldn't be back all weekend.
Leaving the bunnies to their fate wasn't an option for me, since there are a lot of malicious people around, and besides, there's a history of dogs in the area eating other neighbors' rabbits.
I was terrified of this happening to them, so we started coming up with a plan to solve the problem. It's worth mentioning that we really dislike these neighbors; they've been incredibly rude ever since they moved in.
But the bunnies weren't to blame, so I decided to ignore that part and see how I could help them survive.
Al no tratar estos vecinos, era obvio que no tendría su número, así que me tocó sacarlo de un grupo de la urbanización.
Intenté contactarlos, llamar, pero no recibí respuesta. Así que se me ocurrió comentarles a los vecinos que sabía que conocían a estás personas para que pudieran avisarles.
Luego de varios minutos intentando atrapar los conejos, se logró con éxito y justo después recibí la llamada de la dueña de estos.
Acordamos que los cuidaríamos hasta que ellos volvieran y pues así comenzó esta aventura. Los colocamos en una jaula que teníamos acá en casa para estar más seguros que no se escaparían.
Since I didn't know these neighbors, it was obvious I wouldn't have their number, so I had to get it from a group chat for the neighborhood.
I tried contacting them, calling, but I didn't get an answer. So I thought of telling the neighbors I knew who knew these people so they could let them know.
After several minutes of trying to catch the rabbits, I finally managed it, and right after, I received a call from their owner.
We agreed that we would take care of them until they returned, and that's how this adventure began. We put them in a cage we had here at home to be extra sure they wouldn't escape.

They spent the night like that, and the next morning, as soon as I woke up, I went to see them to see if they had had a good night and to give them some food.
Traté de no tener mucho contacto con ellos el tiempo que estuvieron acá para no encariñarme porque sabíamos que no los veríamos de nuevo ya que no nos caen nada bien los vecinos.
Nos limitamos a darles agua, comida y sacarlos a estirar sus patitas.
I tried not to have much contact with them while they were here so I wouldn't get attached, because we knew we wouldn't see them again since we don't get along with the neighbors at all.
We just gave them water and food and let them out to stretch their legs.
Pasamos dos noches con los conejitos y fue una experiencia totalmente única, pero al mismo tiempo estábamos súper ansiosos porque volvieran los vecinos, pues nos preocupaba que los conejitos se estresaran al no saber nada de ellos.
Hoy en horas del mediodía por fin llegaron los vecinos y lo primero que hicimos fue irles a entregar los conejitos.
Sentímos un alivio pero al mismo tiempo nostalgia por despedirnos de ellos. Fue genial haber podido evitar una tragedia y compartir con este par de conejitos.
We spent two nights with the bunnies, and it was a truly unique experience, but at the same time, we were incredibly anxious for our neighbors to return, as we were worried the bunnies would get stressed from not hearing from them.
Today, around midday, the neighbors finally arrived, and the first thing we did was return the bunnies to them.
We felt relieved but also a little sad to say goodbye. It was wonderful to have been able to avoid a tragedy and spend time with these two bunnies.
