Una nueva clase de dibujo y pintura || A new drawing and painting class ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
Iniciamos una nueva semana de clases y en este punto casi estaba por establecer un horario fijo para cada uno de los turnos. Ya cada curso estaba ganando alumnos y los iba consolidando.
Al aperturar el turno de los domingos casi lograba el equilibrio perfecto y fue asi que comencé a asignar horarios y días para todas mis clases. Iniciamos la semana con las clases de jóvenes y adultos, donde ya contaba con 3 alumnas que hasta el momento no habían coincidido todas en una misma clase.
Como la clase era a las 3 de la tarde, aproveché de irme poco después del medio día para investigar una cosita en un local que no tenía ni idea de si aún estaba funcionando.

We started a new week of classes and at this point I was almost about to establish a fixed schedule for each of the shifts. Already each course was gaining students and consolidating them.
By opening the Sunday shift I had almost achieved the perfect balance and so I began to assign times and days for all my classes. We started the week with the youth and adult classes, where I already had 3 students who had not all been in the same class so far.
As the class was at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I took the opportunity to leave shortly after noon to investigate a little something in a place that I had no idea if it was still working.
Al llegar al centro me bajé unas cuadras antes de mi destino y caminé por una calle que no suelo transitar. La verdad es que el centro de la ciudad está súper desolado y muchos de los negocios han ido cerrando por los problemas económicos que atraviesa el país.
Es por eso que no sabía si ese negocio que conocí hace años aún funcionaba. De camino me encontré una edificación donde hace mucho tiempo funcionaba una zapatería y actualmente se encuentra sola y claramente es la casa de alguna persona en situación de calle. Me dio mucha tristeza ver esto la verdad.
Al llegar al negocio me encontré con la mala noticia que había quebrado y bueno, no pude hacer eso que había planeado, entonces me fui hasta el local.
Arriving downtown I got off a few blocks before my destination and walked down a street that I don't usually travel. The truth is that the center of the city is very desolate and many of the businesses have been closing due to the economic problems that the country is going through.
That's why I didn't know if that business I knew years ago was still working. On my way I found a building where a long time ago a shoe store used to operate and now it is alone and it is clearly the home of a homeless person. I was very sad to see this.
When I got to the store I found the bad news that it had gone bankrupt and well, I could not do what I had planned, so I went to the store.
Una vez llegué me cambié la franela porque había llegado bastante acalorada y me fui preparada para esto y esperé que llegaran mis alumnas.
Once I arrived I changed my flannel because I had arrived quite hot and I left prepared for this and waited for my students to arrive.
Con unas estuve trabajando con las técnicas de sombreado y con la más nueva aplicando la teoría del color ya que tenía conocimientos básicos de esto.
With some of them I was working with shading techniques and with the newest one applying color theory since I had basic knowledge of this.
Luego de unos cuantos minutos de trabajo y mucha charla terminaron la primer actividad y pudimos avanzar con la siguiente.
After a few minutes of work and a lot of talking, they finished the first activity and we were able to move on to the next one.
Luego pasamos a la pintura, la que definitivamente es la favorita de este grupo. Yo soy exactamente igual porque si me ponen a elegir entre pintar y dibujar, elegiría mil veces pintar.
Ese día acordamos dejar las prácticas lo más posible con pintura porque es el material que más les gusta usar.
Then we move on to painting, which is definitely the favorite of this group. I am exactly the same because if I had to choose between painting and drawing, I would choose painting a thousand times.
That day we agreed to leave the practices as much as possible with paint because it is the material they like to use the most.
Ese día las 4 formamos una amistad en torno al arte muy bonita, pues cada una contó un poco de su vida y su manera de ver la vida y coincidimos en muchos puntos, todo mientras las clase iba desarrollándose.
Este turno se comenzó a sentir terapéutico para mi y fue bonito conectar con ellas.
That day the 4 of us formed a beautiful friendship around art, as each one told a little of her life and her way of seeing life and we agreed on many points, all while the class was developing.
This shift began to feel therapeutic for me and it was nice to connect with them.
Finalmente luego de unas cuantas pinceladas cada una terminó con su pintura. Fue una clase bastante chévere y productiva a la vez pues en dos horas se lograron hacer dos actividades diferentes y se completaron que fue lo mejor de todo.

Finally after a few brush strokes each one finished with her painting. It was a pretty cool and productive class at the same time because in two hours we managed to do two different activities and they were completed which was the best of all.
