¡Hola Chicos!
Hoy les seguiré contando lo que fueron las clases esa semana en nuestro centro artístico. Como les comenté hace algunos post, para el mes de octubre quise trabajar con artistas que se relacionaran con el tema de Halloween. En realidad hay muchos pero quería que fueran agradables de recrear para los chicos pues en su mayoría son niños pequeños y la idea es que hagan actividades que les gusten y no que les causen terror.
En esta ocasión el tema a tratar eran los autorretratos al estilo Tim Burton y la verdad a mi me encantó trabajar con este artista porque los chicos interpretaron súper bien el estilo y lograban obras hermosas.
Les coloqué como indicación que debían trabajar con escala de grises, y que no podían agregar color. Solo trabajar con los colores negro y blanco y jugar con el degradado de estos tonos. Esto fue algo complicado para algunos pues no sabían que colores aplicar.

Today I'll continue telling you about the classes that week at our art center. As I mentioned in a previous post, for October I wanted to work with artists whose work relates to the theme of Halloween. There are actually many, but I wanted to focus on artists the kids could enjoy recreating, since most of them are young children and the idea is for them to do activities they like, not things that scare them.
This time, the theme was self-portraits in the style of Tim Burton, and I really loved working with this artist because the kids interpreted the style so well and created beautiful pieces.
I instructed them to work in grayscale and not to add any color. They were to work only with black and white and play with the gradients of these tones. This was a bit challenging for some of them because they didn't know which colors to use.
Ese día tuve una gran cantidad de alumnos pues habían algunos que iban a recuperar la clase de un día donde no pudieron asistir porque había llovido súper fuerte y no pude asistir.
Últimamente han habido lluvias en la ciudad que inundan todos los caminos y se hace imposible transitar.
Todos estuvieron trabajando sus obras y en un momento de descuido una de las niñas había pintado la cara color piel. Por suerte estos eran detallitos que se podían corregir y ella esperó a que secara y continuó haciendo su trabajo.

Lately, the city has had heavy rains that flood all the roads, making them impassable.
Everyone was working on their projects, and in a moment of inattention, one of the girls accidentally painted her face skin-colored. Luckily, these were minor details that could be corrected, and she waited for it to dry before continuing with her work.
Con los más pequeños tuve que tener mucho cuidado durante la actividad por esto de que se me ponían demasiado creativos pero los resultados a mi parecer fueron perfecto. Este efecto de pinceladas sueltas le daba un toque único a cada obra. Me encantó. ♥
With the little ones, I had to be extra careful during the activity because they got a bit too creative, but the results were perfect, in my opinion. This loose brushstroke effect gave each piece a unique touch. I loved it. ♥
Con las otras chicas el resultado fue igual de genial, esta fue una actividad que disfruté muchísimo, tanto en ver la ejecución como lo logrado por mis alumnos. En un próximo post les seguiré contando un poco más de nuestras clases en Lakrearte. ♥
The results were just as fantastic with the other girls. I thoroughly enjoyed this activity, both watching the execution and seeing what my students achieved. In an upcoming post, I'll share more about our classes at Lakrearte. ♥
