¡Hola Chicos!
Hoy me siento agotada (sobre todo por la hora en la que estoy redactando este post), pero feliz. He estado súper full porque estoy terminando de organizar todo lo de la galería, talleres y el compartir navideño que tendremos en el local con todos los alumnos.
Es por eso que no he podido anticiparme con mis post como suelo hacerlo y me tocó estar acá, desvelandome un poco para cumplirme.
Yo puedo tener mi local, otras ocupaciones, pero no dejo de lado nunca lo que son mis publicaciones diarias, o al menos mantener el ritmo lo más frecuente posible.
Y sé que muchos se han ido desanimando un poco debido a la baja de nuestra moneda, pero yo en lo particular sigo creyendo que esto es solo una racha y que pronto, todo el esfuerzo que hacemos los que aún nos mantenemos nos será bien recompensado.
No es la primera vez que tenemos la moneda tan baja, recuerdo hace algunos años que estuvimos también en estas cifras y logramos levantarnos. Está vez no será la excepción, así que invito a todos a seguir creyendo y apostando por Hive.
Por otro lado y a lo que iba jajaja nos encontramos en la recta final y he tenido que ocuparme de varios pendientes antes de la galería.
Hi everyone!
Today I feel exhausted (especially because of the time I'm writing this post), but happy. I've been super busy because I'm finishing up organizing everything for the gallery, workshops, and the Christmas gathering we'll have at the studio with all the students.
That's why I haven't been able to post as frequently as I usually do, and I've had to stay up a bit late to get it done.
I may have my studio and other commitments, but I never neglect my daily posts, or at least I try to maintain the pace as often as possible.
And I know many of you have been getting a little discouraged because of the drop in our currency, but I personally still believe that this is just a rough patch and that soon, all the effort those of us who are still holding on are making will be well rewarded.
It's not the first time our currency has been this low; I remember a few years ago we were at similar levels and we managed to recover. This time will be no exception, so I encourage everyone to continue believing in and supporting Hive.
On another note, and getting back to the point, haha, we're in the home stretch and I've had to take care of several things before the gallery.
Uno de ellos ha sido este, el tejer unas cuantas paletitas de pintura a crochet para obsequiar a mis alumnos.
Se me ocurrió que una buena forma de finalizar el año era dándoles un obsequio que representara ese tema que nos ha cruzado en el camino y que además me sirviera para demostrarles a todos el cariño tan grande que les tengo.
A mí me encanta hacerle cositas tejidas a las personas que me importan y no saben todo lo que batallé haciendolas. Pronto en otro post les contaré cómo las hice. Demoré unos cuantos días haciendolas pero valió completamente la pena y lo mejor es que ya están completamente listas.
One of my projects was crocheting a few paint palettes as gifts for my students.
It occurred to me that a good way to end the year was to give them a gift that represented the theme we've been studying together, and that would also allow me to show them all how much I care about them.
I love making crocheted things for the people I care about, and they have no idea how much effort I put into making these. I'll tell you how I made them in another post soon. It took me a few days, but it was totally worth it, and the best part is that they're finally finished.
Otro asunto importante que me tenía full preocupada a decir verdad era lograr cancelar los alquileres de este y el próximo mes. Fue una meta que me plantee a mediados de año cuando decidí mudarme y es que lo que es Diciembre y Enero son mes retadores.
Veníamos de una mala racha, una situación financiera complicada y me preocupaba no poder cumplir esa meta antes de finalizar las clases por este año. Pero con mucho esfuerzo y organización logré reunirlo y me siento súper tranquila porque tengo el primer mes del próximo año asegurado.
Another important issue that had me really worried, to be honest, was managing to pay the rent for this month and next. It was a goal I set for myself mid-year when I decided to move, and December and January are challenging months.
We were coming off a rough patch, a complicated financial situation, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to reach that goal before the end of classes for this year. But with a lot of effort and organization, I managed to scrape it together, and I feel super relieved because I have the first month of next year covered.
También me ha tocado, como en cada galería, el organizar todos los trabajos de los alumnos. Un trabajo que es extenso y que no solo se trata de pegar las cosas en las paredes, sino que hay que recortar, ordenar, planificar como se va a exponer y pues esto es algo que también me llevo una buena cantidad de horas.
Hoy me lleve a mi hijo hasta el local para que me ayudara y por suerte logramos adelantar muchísimo trabajo.
Pronto les mostraré como lucen nuestra paredes ahora que los trabajos están colgados y que estemos listos para la galería de arte.
Han sido días agotadores pero poco a poco se va logrando el objetivo para poder finalizar con éxito nuestro año.
Estoy súper feliz y llena de satisfacción por lo que hemos logrado y por supuesto el próximo año vamos por mucho más.
As with every gallery, I've also been responsible for organizing all the students' work. It's a lot of work, and it's not just about sticking things on the walls; it involves cutting, arranging, and planning how to display them. This also takes up a good number of hours.
Today I brought my son to the studio to help me, and luckily we managed to get a lot of work done.
I'll show you soon how our walls look now that the artwork is hung and we're ready for the art gallery.
It's been a tiring few days, but little by little we're achieving our goal of successfully finishing the year.
I'm incredibly happy and filled with satisfaction for what we've accomplished, and of course, next year we're aiming for even more.
