Pintura sobre disco de Vinilo || Painting on vinyl record ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
La semana pasada fue la primera galería en nuestro centro artístico Lakrearte y las obras que se iban a presentar eran sobre discos de vinilo, pues nuestra temática era retro y mi intención era que todo lo relacionado estuviera lo más posible ligado a esta época.
Por supuesto el motivo que se iba a pintar sobre los discos también debía estar ligado a esto, así que nos inclinamos a temas como el pop art y arte psicodélico.
Yo por supuesto quería acompañar a mis alumnos presentando una obra, que al mismo tiempo sería la prueba de que este formato funcionara a la perfección.
Escogí el motivo buscando ideas en Pinterest, esta carita con la boca chorreada me llamó mucho la atención y quise hacer un diseño inspirándome en ella. Por supuesto que no quedo exactamente igual, pues en el proceso le agregué mi toque y combinación de colores.
El resultado me encantó y disfruté muchísimo hacerla, por supuesto, documenté todo para compartirles a ustedes el paso a paso, así que no se hable más y vayamos con eso.

Last week was the first gallery at our Lakrearte art center, and the works to be presented were about vinyl records. Our theme was retro, and I wanted everything related to it to be as closely related to that era as possible.
Of course, the motif that would be painted on the records also had to be related to this, so we leaned toward themes like pop art and psychedelic art.
Of course, I wanted to accompany my students by presenting a piece, which would also prove that this format worked perfectly.
I chose the motif by searching for ideas on Pinterest. This little face with a dripping mouth really caught my attention, and I wanted to create a design inspired by it. Of course, it didn't turn out exactly the same, as I added my own touch and color combination in the process.
I loved the result and I really enjoyed making it. Of course, I documented everything to share the step-by-step process with you, so let's get to it.
Iniciamos acá con una parte un tantito avanzada, y es que la primera parte la hice en compañía de unas alumnas y amigas, pero eso se los compartiré en otro post ya que fue una clase especial.
Ya tenía hecho el boceto, y pinté parte de la cara. Para que comenzara a tomar más forma y color, decidí pintar el fondo con negro y una vez completado pinté el interior de la boca.
We're starting here with a slightly advanced section. I did the first part with some students and friends, but I'll share that in another post since it was a special class.
I already had the sketch done and painted part of the face. To give it more shape and color, I decided to paint the background black, and once completed, I painted the inside of the mouth.
De ahí pinté luego los ojos y ya mi carita feliz tenía expresión, cobró vida. jaja
Pinté parte de los hongos que salen de su cabeza y algunos detalles con naranja y turquesa en la parte baja de la cara.
Luego los detalles en los hongos con negro y algunos lunares en la parte superior.
From there, I then painted the eyes, and my happy face now had expression; it came to life. Haha.
I painted some of the mushrooms growing out of her head and some details with orange and turquoise on the lower part of her face.
Then I painted the details on the mushrooms with black and some polka dots on the top.
Pinté los laterales con mucho color, haciendo un degradado como arcoíris. Debo confesar que el del lado izquierdo no me gustó tanto, pero decidí pasar a otra cosa para luego ver como solucionaba.
Pinté la parte inferior de la cara como haciendo una barba, primero con blanco y luego con celeste.
I painted the sides with a lot of color, creating a rainbow gradient. I must confess that I didn't like the one on the left side as much, but I decided to move on to something else and see how I could solve it.
I painted the lower part of the face, like a beard, first with white and then with light blue.
Luego se me ocurrió hacer otras zonas con degradado sobre la parte que no me gustó, esto fue súper divertido pues hice una mezcla de colores sobre el mismo pincel y resultó muy bien.
Aún no me encantaba pero estaba mucho mejor que lo que había hecho primero.
Then I decided to do other gradients over the part I didn't like. This was super fun because I mixed colors with the same brush and it turned out really well.
I still wasn't completely thrilled with it, but it was much better than what I'd done before.
En estas zonas de color le pinté unos hongos, los cuales no tenían el diseño que vi y unas hierbitas que me provocó también integrarle.
Les agregué unos detalles en negro y terminé de pintar la parte inferior que unía las dos zonas de color.
En el cielo pinté unos puntos de color y también unas rayitas.
Y finalmente agregué unos detalles peluditos blanco en el borde inferior del disco, que se relacionaban con el parte de abajo de la carita.
Así lo finalicé y me encantó. Hubieron detalles que sentí que pude hacer mejor, pero este disco era una prueba y decidí dejarlo así para en un futuro perfeccionar el diseño en otro disco u otra superficie. ♥
In these colored areas, I painted some mushrooms, which didn't have the design I saw, and some grasses that I also wanted to incorporate.
I added some black details and finished painting the lower part that joined the two colored areas.
In the sky, I painted some colored dots and some stripes.
And finally, I added some white furry details to the bottom edge of the disc, which related to the underside of the face.
That's how I finished it, and I loved it. There were some details I felt I could have improved, but this disc was a test, and I decided to leave it like that to perfect the design on another disc or other surface in the future. ♥
