¡Hola Chicos!
El pasado 18 de diciembre fue la tercera galería de arte en nuestro centro artístico. Con ella finalizamos nuestro año y fue también hicimos cierre de nuestras clases.
Esta galería la llamamos "La Retícula Rota" y cada uno de los alumnos se encargó de representar alguna obra famosa de los artistas estudiados durante este tercer período pero dándole un giro navideño.
Esto último fue a petición de todos que me hicieron saber que les gustaría hacer una obra navideña y yo por supuesto escuchando sus peticiones accedí ya que me parecía una forma excelente de mostrar todo lo aprendido.
Hello everyone!
Last December 18th was the third art gallery at our art center. It marked the end of our year and also the end of our classes.
We called this gallery "The Broken Grid," and each student was responsible for recreating a famous work by one of the artists we studied during this third term, but with a Christmas twist.
This was at everyone's request; they let me know they'd like to create a Christmas-themed piece, and of course, listening to their wishes, I agreed, as it seemed like an excellent way to showcase everything we'd learned.
Tuvimos en total 16 obras expuestas en esta ocasión y una participación especial de mi alumna del curso de pulseras tejidas, la cual decidí darle un papel principal porque hasta el momento ha sido la única chica inscrita en este curso y se ha esforzado muchísimo a lo largo de los últimos meses.
Con ella decidimos trabajar una muestra de algunos de los tejidos aprendidos durante este año que pasó, aunque créanme cuando les digo que fueron muchísimos más.
La verdad le quedaron hermosas todas las muestras y ella las enseñó a los presentes súper orgullosa.
We had a total of 16 pieces on display this time, and a special participation from my student in the woven bracelet course. I decided to give her a leading role because she's been the only student enrolled in the course so far, and she's worked incredibly hard over the past few months.
We decided to work with her on a sample of some of the weaving techniques she learned this past year, although believe me when I say there were many more.
The truth is, all the samples turned out beautifully, and she proudly showed them to everyone present.
Los más pequeños hicieron un trabajo increíble, sobre todo algunos que me sorprendieron mucho con los resultados logrados.
Captaron a la perfección las técnicas explicadas durante las clases y las aplicaron en sus obras finales.
The youngest students did an incredible job, especially some who really surprised me with their results.
They perfectly grasped the techniques explained during the classes and applied them to their final pieces.
En cuanto a los artístas trabajaron debo decir que el más popular fue Van Gogh ya que tuvimos varias representaciones de la noche estrellada y entre las corrientes favoritas tuvimos el cubismo.
El resto de los cuadros intentaron representar otros artistas como Tim Burton haciendo a Jack y una de las alumnas resaltó al elegir una obra completamente diferente a la del resto. De verdad que tuvo puntos extras por originalidad.
Regarding the artists we worked with, I must say that Van Gogh was the most popular, as we had several representations of The Starry Night, and Cubism was among our favorite art movements.
The rest of the paintings attempted to represent other artists, such as Tim Burton as Jack Skellington, and one of the students stood out by choosing a work completely different from the others. She definitely earned extra points for originality.
Todos hicieron unos trabajos hermosos y me siento muy orgullosa de lo que han logrado exponer en esta tercera galería.
Algunos de los alumnos no pudieron asistir a la galería pero de igual forma sus obras estuvieron presentes y pudieron ser apreciadas por todos los que asistieron.

Everyone created beautiful works, and I'm so proud of what they've managed to exhibit in this third gallery.
Some students couldn't attend the gallery, but their work was still present and could be appreciated by everyone who did attend.
In an upcoming post, I'll tell you a little more about this wonderful day. ♥
