Handmade Mandala🎨

"Mandalas are the path that leads us to our own center, the place where the free being resides." ✨

Before going through a big process of changes in my life, I painted this mandala. I had wanted to make one for quite some time because I really like what they convey and how the colors blend and create beautiful designs.

I must confess that at first, I didn't see the form/shape 😅, and this is where the famous phrase "trust the process" intervened. I let what I felt in the moment flow, and I used the colors and shapes that I thought might work between layers.
This was a process that took several days, I honestly don't remember how long it was, but what I do know is that when I managed to finish it, I loved it.

Unfortunately, during the process of changing my phone, ALL the photos and videos of the process, which I planned to share with you, were lost 🥲😩.
It hurt me a lot to realize that and it was hard for me to accept that this work of hours was no longer there. The Tibetan Buddhist monks, whom I read about many years ago, immediately came to my mind.

They make mandalas with sand and shortly after finishing them, they sweep them up and return the sand to nature.

This ritual symbolizes the impermanence of life, which affirms that every phenomenon is transient, mutable, and does not have a permanent or fixed existence.

Unintentionally, I experienced something similar, although luckily I have the photos of the result, a small video, and of course, my original work. ✨
I'll have time to make others and document it later. And this mandala fulfilled its function.

Antes de pasar por un gran proceso de cambios en mi vida, pinté esta mandala. Desde hace bastante tiempo tenía ganas de hacer una pues me gusta mucho lo que transmiten y como se funcionan los colores y crean hermosos diseños.

Debo confesar que en un principio no le veía forma 😅, y acá es donde la famosa frase de "confía en el proceso" intervino. Deje fluir lo que sentía en el momento, y usé los colores y formas que pensé podrían funcionar entre capa y capa.

Este fue un proceso que demoró algunos días, ya la verdad no recuerdo cuánto tiempo fue, pero lo que si sé es que cuando logré terminarlo me encantó.

Lamentablemente en el proceso que tuve un cambio de teléfono se perdieron TODAS las fotos y videos del proceso, que pensaba compartir con ustedes 🥲😩.

Me dolió mucho darme cuenta de eso y me costó aceptar que ya no está ese trabajo de horas. Inmediatamente vinieron a mi mente los monjes budistas tibetanos, de los que leí hace muchos años.

Ellos hacen mandalas con arena y poco después de terminarlas de las barren y devuelven la arena a la naturaleza.

Este ritual simboliza la impermanencia de la vida, que afirma que todo fenómeno es transitorio, mutable y no tiene una existencia permanente o fija.

Sin querer viví algo similar aunque para mí suerte me han quedado las fotos del resultado, un pequeño video y por supuesto, mi obra original. ✨

Ya luego tendré tiempo de hacer otras y documentarlo. Y esta mandala cumplió su función.
