Días de descanso y trabajo || Days off and work ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
Los últimos días han sido una locura mentalmente hablando, pues he tenido que superar muchos retos, sobre todo el mantenerse en positivo que es algo que realmente cuesta un poco viviendo en un país que presenta tantos retos diarios.
A pesar de todo logramos salir adelante y cumplir con todos los propósitos planteados, todos los pagos y ahora volvemos el contador a cero pues nos toca nuevamente enfrentarnos a ese reto, pero ahora para finalizar el año y empezar con buen pie el siguiente.
Dentro de todo esto se nos viene la galería de arte, la tercera y última de este año. Esta es muy especial pues vamos a hacer la despedida de fin de año y a tener unas pequeñas vacaciones hasta que comencemos nuevamente nuestras clases en el mes de enero.
Yo traté de colocar la fecha de la galería lo más cerca de las fechas navideñas para que pudiéramos cubrir esos gastos del mes y hasta el momento todo ha marchado de maravilla.

The last few days have been mentally crazy, as I've had to overcome many challenges, especially staying positive, which is really difficult living in a country with so many daily challenges.
Despite everything, we managed to pull through and achieve all our goals, make all our payments, and now we're starting from scratch again because we have to face that challenge once more, but this time to finish the year off strong and start the next one off on the right foot.
Amidst all this, we have the art gallery coming up, the third and final one of this year. This one is very special because we're going to have our end-of-year celebration and then take a short break until classes start again in January.
I tried to schedule the gallery as close to the Christmas holidays as possible so we could cover those expenses for the month, and so far everything has gone wonderfully.
Vamos a tener muchas cosas en exhibición, pues tenemos trabajos acumulados desde el mes de septiembre y además que hay mucho que organizar estaban estos dibujos que fueron los que hicieron mis alumnos para cumplir con el reto del Inktober de este año.
Al colocarles el reto quería que sintieran más de cerca la experiencia de ser artistas pues todos los que estamos en este mundo nos hemos planteado alguna vez el cumplir con el reto de hacer un dibujo diario por todo el mes de octubre, siguiendo la lista oficial.
Este año las palabras fueron algunas un poco complicadas pero esto no impidió a la mayoría de los alumnos cumplir con lo pedido.
We're going to have a lot on display, as we have a backlog of work from September, and besides the large amount of organizing, there were these drawings that my students created for this year's Inktober challenge.
By giving them the challenge, I wanted them to experience what it's like to be an artist, since everyone in this world has at some point considered completing the challenge of drawing a picture every day for the entire month of October, following the official list.
This year, some of the words were a bit complicated, but that didn't stop most of the students from completing the task.
No todos lo cumplieron pero en su mayoría si se esforzaron por hacer lo mayor posible e hicieron sus 31 dibujos, cosa que ni yo he podido hacer.
Al tener esa enorme cantidad de dibujos no se me había ocurrido como presentarlos el día de la galería, así que me los traje a casa pues pensé que sería buena idea hacer una composición grupal, pero sabía que esto me demoraría bastante tiempo.
Decidí cortarlos como stickers aprovechando mis días libres y demoré unas cuantas horas durante dos días de trabajo. Mi esposo me ayudó con unos cuantos. En total fueron 400 dibujos, nada fácil de recortar jajaja.
Y por si fuera poco se me ocurrió hacer un video stop motion con una foto de cada uno de ellos. Acá les comparto parte del resultado, el resto lo pueden ver en mis redes.
Los días de descanso siempre estoy haciendo algo, yo no dejo de trabajar nunca, así esté en casa. Yo lo disfruto porque siempre estoy haciendo cosas que me entretienen, mi trabajo gira en torno a mis hobbies y eso es lo maravilloso.
Not everyone managed to complete the challenge, but most of them did their best and finished their 31 drawings, something even I haven't been able to do.
With that huge number of drawings, I hadn't thought of how to present them on the day of the gallery, so I brought them home. I thought it would be a good idea to create a group composition, but I knew this would take quite a while.
I decided to cut them out like stickers, taking advantage of my days off, and it took me a few hours over two days. My husband helped me with some of them. In total, there were 400 drawings—not easy to cut out, haha.
And as if that weren't enough, I decided to make a stop-motion video with a photo of each one. Here I share part of the result; you can see the rest on my social media.
On my days off, I'm always doing something. I never stop working, even when I'm at home. I enjoy it because I'm always doing things that entertain me. My work revolves around my hobbies, and that's what's so wonderful about it.
Otra cosa que aproveché de hacer durante los días de descanso de esta semana fue hacer las compritas de vegetales. Tenía muchos días que no visitaba esta frutería y la verdad es que mi bolsillo se estaba viendo súper afectado pues en las tiendas más cercanas no venden esta variedad de verduras y además el precio es sumamente costoso.
Me pasó que visité una frutería nueva que queda en mi misma calle esta semana y con 5$ aproximadamente me llevé a casa como 2 kilos de vegetales. Esta vez mi compra fue como de 10$ pero les puedo asegurar que llevé 3 bolsas y había oferta en tomates, por lo que me traje 2 kilos por 1.5$
Con esto me ahorro mucho tiempo, gastos de más y además me permite hacer comidas en cantidad, como las que preparé hoy que me rinden para varios días.
Los días de descanso para mi representan no salir de casa, pero eso no significa que este inactiva. Siempre procuro descansar pero manteniéndome productiva. ♥
Another thing I took advantage of during my days off this week was doing my vegetable shopping. It had been a long time since I'd visited this fruit and vegetable stand, and honestly, my wallet was really feeling the pinch because the nearest stores don't carry this variety of vegetables, and the prices are extremely high.
I happened to visit a new fruit and vegetable stand on my street this week, and for about $5, I brought home about 2 kilos of vegetables. This time my purchase was around $10, but I can assure you that I bought 3 bags, and there was a sale on tomatoes, so I got 2 kilos for $1.50.
This saves me a lot of time and money, and it also allows me to make meals in bulk, like the ones I prepared today, which last me for several days.
For me, days off mean not leaving the house, but that doesn't mean I'm inactive. I always try to rest while staying productive. ♥
