Conociendo un nuevo Vivero || Getting to know a new plant nursery ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
El pasado lunes, que fue el día de mi cumpleaños, salí a la ciudad de Cabimas porque iba a buscar algo que había comprado. Para esto me dirigí a la casa de la señora que me lo iba a vender y como punto de referencia me dijo que su casa quedaba frente a una ferretería.
Luego cuando le comenté que ya iba en vía a su casa me dijo que allí funcionaba un vivero, lo que hizo mucho más fácil mi búsqueda. El saberlo me emocionó, pues a mi me encantan las plantas y siempre que tengo la oportunidad de visitar este tipo de negocios, voy con la mente abierta a encontrar algo que pueda necesitar.

Last Monday, which was my birthday, I went out to the city of Cabimas because I was going to pick up something I had bought. For this I went to the house of the lady who was going to sell it to me and as a reference point she told me that her house was in front of a hardware store.
Then when I told her that I was on my way to her house, she told me that there was a nursery there, which made my search much easier. I was thrilled to know that, because I love plants and whenever I have the opportunity to visit this type of business, I go with an open mind to find something I might need.
En el frente de la casa había una pequeña pizarra que decía el nombre del vivero, el cual no recuerdo y tampoco tomé fotos jaja y al entrar vi un largo pasillo lleno de plantas. Había de todo un poco y se veían súper bien cuidadas.
De inmediato me puse a buscar a ver si tenían cactus y suculentas, ya que acá en casa los coleccionamos y aún hay muchas especies que no tenemos.
Estas plantitas pequeñas me recuerdan a unas que me compró mi papá cuando tenía unos 8 años. No recuerdo donde las compró pero si me acuerdo que eran un cactus y una pequeña planta de aloe.
La de aloe se me murió primero, pues no tenía ni idea de que había que sacarla al sol de vez en cuando. Y el cactus murió por exceso de agua.
Varias de estas pequeñas plantas coincidían con el tipo de mis fallecitas plantitas. Habían otras que eran nuevas para mi como estas de hojitas moradas súper lindas.
In the front of the house there was a small blackboard that said the name of the nursery, which I don't remember and I didn't take pictures either haha and when I entered I saw a long hallway full of plants. There was a little bit of everything and they looked very well cared for.
I immediately started looking to see if they had cactus and succulents, since here at home we collect them and there are still many species that we don't have.
These little plants remind me of some my dad bought me when I was about 8 years old. I don't remember where he bought them but I do remember that they were a cactus and a small aloe plant.
The aloe plant died first, because I had no idea that I had to take it out in the sun from time to time. And the cactus died from overwatering.
Several of these small plants matched the type of my deceased seedlings. There were others that were new to me like these super cute purple leafy ones.
Habían muchos cactus súper curiosos, y me provocaba traerme uno de de cada especie que veía. Pero al consultar los precios no me quedaron ganas jajaja la verdad estaban algo costosos para lo que esperaba.
La que más deseo tener es una suculenta gris en forma de flor, y de esta me dijeron que el costo de una súper pequeña en 5$.
Las he visto más económicas en otros lados, así que voy a esperar tener el dinero para poder comprar varios tipos.
There were many super curious cactus, and I wanted to bring one of each species I saw. But when I checked the prices I didn't feel like it, hahaha the truth is that they were a bit expensive for what I expected.
The one I most want to have is a gray succulent in the shape of a flower, and they told me that the cost of a super small one was 5$.
I have seen them cheaper in other places, so I will wait to have the money to be able to buy several types.
Habían algunos cactus que eran injertos, hechos por la misma dueña del vivero. Ella me comentó un poco sobre su negocio que era familiar, pues en realidad todas las plantas eran de su hija pero que ella estaba trabajando en otra ciudad y le dejó el negocio a su cuidado.
Es bonito ver que exista este apoyo en las familias, y que a pesar de que este la ausencia de algunos miembros, tengan ese apoyo para continuar con sus emprendimientos.
Ese día no traje nada conmigo a casa, pero espero en otra visita poder comprar algunas cosas, que si vi que tenían buenos precios.
There were some cacti that were grafted, made by the owner of the nursery herself. She told me a little about her family business, because in fact all the plants belonged to her daughter, but she was working in another city and left the business in her care.
It is nice to see that there is this support in families, and that despite the absence of some members, they have this support to continue with their enterprises.
I didn't bring anything home with me that day, but I hope to be able to buy some things on another visit, as I saw that they had good prices.
