¡Hola Chicos!
Espero todos se encuentren bien hoy, acá en casa estamos más tranquilos luego de tanto revuelo ocurrido el día de ayer y pues seguimos trabajando, nada nos detiene.
Hoy les seguiré contando lo que fue nuestro compartir navideño, y en la parte anterior les contaba que tuvimos un intercambio de regalos pero no especifiqué de que trataba.
Semanas antes de este día se me ocurrió que sería buena idea hacer un intercambio de regalos entre los alumnos, incluyendo todos los turnos. Pregunté a todos los representantes a ver quienes estaban de acuerdo en participar y una semana antes repartí los papelitos.
El regalo eran dulces, con un monto bajo para que no fuera algo excesivamente costoso y lo principal era una obra hecha por el mismo alumno par su amigo secreto.
Esto representaba un reto pero iba apegado a lo que hacemos, arte. Por eso me pareció muy buena idea. Cada uno decía que quería que le dibujaran y luego yo le iba indicando lo que su amigo secreto pidió. Esto lo hacía un regalo totalmente personalizado, así todos obtendrían justo lo que deseaban.

I hope you're all doing well today. Here at home, things are calmer after all the commotion yesterday, and we're back to work; nothing can stop us.
Today I'll continue telling you about our Christmas get-together. In the previous post, I mentioned that we had a gift exchange, but I didn't go into detail about it.
Weeks before this day, I thought it would be a good idea to have a gift exchange among the students, including all the shifts. I asked all the parents who were interested in participating, and a week before, I handed out slips of paper.
The gift was candy, with a small amount so it wouldn't be too expensive, and the main thing was a piece of art made by the student for their Secret Santa.
This was a challenge, but it was related to what we do: art. That's why I thought it was a great idea. Each student said what they wanted drawn, and then I told them what their Secret Santa had asked for. This made it a completely personalized gift, so everyone would get exactly what they wanted.
Así que verificando la lista que yo había anotado sabiendo a quien le daba cada uno fuimos haciendo entrega de los regalos pero sin abrirlos hasta que todos tuvieran lo suyo.
Obviamente algunos fueron haciendo trampa y vieron el interior de sus regalos, pero aguantaron hasta que les dije para verlos bien.
So, checking the list I had written down, knowing who was getting what, we handed out the gifts, but without opening them until everyone had received theirs.
Obviously, some cheated and peeked inside their gifts, but they held off until I told them to take a good look.
Así les fui tomando a cada uno su foto con sus regalos, tanto el que entregaban como el que recibían para el recuerdo.
Todos estaban súper felices.
So I took a picture of each of them with their gifts, both the one they gave and the one they received, as a keepsake.
Everyone was so happy.
Como les dije tuvimos ciertos retos durante el proceso porque 3 de las niñas no asistieron y eso dejaba a 3 personas sin regalo, incluyéndome. Por suerte logré "barajear" el asunto y todos obtuvieron sus regalos.
As I mentioned, we had some challenges during the process because three of the girls didn't attend, which meant three people, including myself, wouldn't receive a gift. Luckily, I managed to sort things out, and everyone got their presents.
Y por fin los dejé abrir sus regalos y acá les dejo este gif donde se puede ver rápidamente lo que todos hicieron para sus amigos, incluyendo esos dos regalos que pinté. Todos quedaron súper contentos. ♥
Todos estuvieron comiendo sus dulces, enseñando lo que les habían regalado y compartiendo un momento bastante bonito. En este intercambio me di cuenta que para la mayoría era su primer intercambio de regalos porque no entendían como era el proceso jajaja y sé que será el más original que tendrán.
And finally, I let them open their gifts, and here's a GIF showing what everyone made for their friends, including those two gifts I painted. Everyone was so happy! ♥
They were all eating their sweets, showing off their gifts, and sharing a really lovely moment. During this exchange, I realized that for most of them, it was their first gift exchange because they didn't quite understand the process, haha, and I know it will be the most original one they'll ever have.
Mientras aún revisaban sus regalitos me acerqué a todos y me tomé una foto para el recuerdo. La verdad quedaron para siempre grabadas en mi corazón ♥
While they were still looking through their gifts, I went up to everyone and took a picture to remember the moment. They're truly etched in my heart forever ♥
Ese día recibí 3 regalos, uno fue de dos alumnas súper especiales que me entregaron una taza navideña junto a caramelo y una notita, el otro fue uno de los dibujos que habían hecho para las chicas que habían faltado que me lo quedé, y el que me correspondía que era el otro dibujo de la otra chica que había faltado, que también me lo quedé.
En lugar de recibir el dibujo que me tocaba me quedé con dos y las chicas quedaron bien felices por eso pues su esfuerzo si había valido la pena.
También aproveché para entregar el certificado a una de mis alumnas de crochet junto a un obsequio que había preparado para ella al igual que a todos los alumnos. Ella no asistiría a la galería por eso se lo entregué antes.
That day I received three gifts. One was from two very special students who gave me a Christmas mug, some candy, and a little note. Another was one of the drawings they had made for the girls who were absent, which I kept. And the one that was meant for me, the other drawing from the girl who was absent, which I also kept.
Instead of receiving the drawing that was rightfully mine, I kept two, and the girls were very happy about that because their effort had definitely paid off.
I also took the opportunity to give a certificate to one of my crochet students along with a gift I had prepared for her, just like I had for all the students. She wouldn't be attending the gallery, so I gave it to her early.
Solo pudimos hacer un juego antes de que todos se fueran así terminó la jornada. Los chicos comieron, corrieron, saltaron y disfrutaron ese tiempo que compartimos.
Mi hijo quedó exhausto luego de eso y yo feliz por lo logrado. Luego acomodamos todo para el siguiente día que sería la galería y tomamos nuestras cosas para volver a casa.
We only managed to play one game before everyone left, and that's how the day ended. The kids ate, ran, jumped, and enjoyed the time we spent together.

Para nuestra suerte nos cruzamos con el señor que me hace transporte en ocasiones y nos deja en la puerta de la casa. Solo tuvimos que esperar un rato mientras el conseguía el resto de pasajeros y volvimos a casa.
