¡Hola Chicos!
Es increíble como pasa el tiempo y acá estamos preparándonos para navidad que es el próximo mes pero que en Venezuela comenzamos a celebrar apenas termina octubre.
En el local quería hacer algo genial porque es nuestra primera navidad celebrándolo y desde que comencé a dar clases en el centro de la ciudad he tenido un sueño enorme, pintar la vitrina con un diseño navideño.
Nunca antes había pintado sobre vidrio y menos en una magnitud tan grande así que esto era todo un reto, pero en definitiva algo que me tenía súper emocionada.
Al mudarnos a este local lo primero que pensé fue "voy a pintar ese vidrio", y al principio iba a ser por un motivo de Halloween pero pasaron los días y yo no termine de hacerlo, así que decidí dejarlo a un lado para dar paso a algo más navideño.
Esta vez si tengo pensado terminarlo porque sé que ayudará mucho con la imagen del local y una vez pase la temporada voy a hacer algo más artístico. Pienso practicar mucho sobre este lienzo para perfeccionarme en esta técnica que está súper.

It's incredible how time flies, and here we are getting ready for Christmas, which is next month, but in Venezuela, we start celebrating as soon as October ends.
I wanted to do something amazing at the shop because it's our first Christmas celebrating, and ever since I started teaching classes downtown, I've had this huge dream: to paint the window with a Christmas design.
I'd never painted on glass before, much less on such a large scale, so this was quite a challenge, but definitely something that had me super excited.
When we moved to this location, the first thing I thought was, "I'm going to paint that window," and at first, it was going to be for a Halloween theme, but the days went by and I didn't finish it, so I decided to put it aside to make way for something more Christmassy.
This time, I really plan to finish it because I know it will greatly improve the shop's image, and once the season is over, I'm going to do something more artistic. I plan to practice a lot on this canvas to perfect this technique, which is fantastic.
Aproveché un día que debía dar clases un poco más tarde para llegar temprano y así poder trabajar en el diseño.
El sol estaba realmente fuerte, pero eso no impidió que llegara enfocada a mi labor.
I took advantage of a day when I had to teach a little later to arrive early and get some time to work on the design.
The sun was really strong, but that didn't stop me from being focused on my work.
Lo primero que quería hacer era una guirnalda en la puerta, de esto ví muchas ideas y tomé lo que más me gustó de las que ví para hacer un diseño único.
Trabajar en vidrio es otra cosa, hay chance para el error pero genera un poco más de desastre que se nota, pues si le pasas un paño húmedo queda un manchón blanco luego.
Con mucha paciencia y dedicación logré hacerlo sin problema y quedó súper linda la verdad. Me siento bien orgullosa de mi resultado.
The first thing I wanted to do was make a garland for the door. I saw lots of ideas for this and took what I liked best to create a unique design.
Working with glass is a different story. There's room for error, but it creates a bit more of a mess, which is quite noticeable. If you wipe it with a damp cloth, it leaves a white smudge.
With a lot of patience and dedication, I managed to do it without any problems, and it turned out really beautiful. I'm very proud of the result.
Luego de terminar hice una pausa para refrescarme un poco y esperar a mis alumnos.
Ese día fue que comencé a sentirme un poco mal y la clase traté de llevarla lo más relajada posible para que no me afectara tanto.
After finishing, I took a break to refresh myself and wait for my students.
That day I started feeling a bit unwell, and I tried to keep the class as relaxed as possible so it wouldn't affect me too much.
No nos dió tiempo de terminar pero avanzaron muchísimo en sus trabajos.
Yo la verdad no los presioné tanto como de costumbre por el mismo malestar y esto hizo que ellos se distrajeran un poco más de la cuenta.
Aún así se fueron felices a casa y yo pude cumplir con mi labor.
We didn't have time to finish, but they made a lot of progress on their work.
I honestly didn't push them as much as usual because of the same feeling of unwellness, and this caused them to get a little more distracted than usual.
Even so, they went home happy, and I was able to complete my work.
Las cosas se salieron un poco de control al final de la clase porque terminó un montón de pintura marrón en el suelo, que nadie quiso admitir derramar.
Luego de recogerla acomodé todo para volver a casa. Una de mis alumnas me ayudó a hacer un boceto para otra zona de la vitrina y esto lo pintaría al día siguiente. Ya luego les muestro como quedó.
Así terminó mi jornada. Gracias por acompañarme en otra aventura. ✨
Things got a little out of hand at the end of class because a ton of brown paint ended up on the floor, which no one wanted to admit to spilling.
After cleaning it up, I tidied everything up to go home. One of my students helped me sketch another area of the display case, and I would paint that the next day. I'll show you how it turned out later.
