Clases de Crochet, recibiendo una nueva alumna || Crochet classes, welcoming a new student ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
Para la segunda semana de estar dando clases en mi nuevo local se sumaron dos nuevas alumnas. Como les comenté en post anteriores, la primera semana decidí comenzar con 2 solamente, una para la clase de pintura y otra en la clase de crochet.
Por estar mostrando a las personas que ya habíamos comenzado con las clases logré ganar dos nuevas alumnas una para cada clase y hoy les compartiré lo que fue esta segunda clase de crochet.

For the second week of teaching at my new location, two new students joined. As I mentioned in previous posts, the first week I decided to start with just two, one for the painting class and one for the crochet class.
By showing people that we had already started classes, I managed to gain two new students, one for each class, and today I'll share with you what this second crochet class was like.
Ese día me fui al local con mi hijo, era la primera vez que iba a visitarlo y lo llevé conmigo para que conociera los espacios y viera un poco como era la dinámica de las clases, pues no es lo mismo verlo por fotos que vivirlo.
Como les he comentado en ocasiones anteriores, me gusta incluirlo en todo lo que hago, pues así va viendo con ejemplos como se desarrolla un proyecto y puede aplicarlos a futuro. Además él es parte de Lakrearte y es importante que esté presente en los procesos que se llevan a acabo en torno a la marca, pues también es de él.
That day, I went to the store with my son. It was my first time visiting it, and I took him with me so he could see the spaces and get a glimpse of the class dynamics, as seeing photos isn't the same as experiencing it.
As I've told you on previous occasions, I like to include him in everything I do, so he can see how a project develops through examples and apply them in the future. He's also part of Lakrearte, and it's important for him to be present in the processes carried out around the brand, since it's also his.
Me ayudó a tomar unas muy buenas fotos, las cuales les compartiré luego en otro post. Esta primera es una de ellas y describe perfectamente como de desarrollan mis clases: Yo, sentada a la cabeza de la mesa y mis alumnos a los costados trabajando en sus proyectos y recibiendo instrucciones.
La nueva alumna, al contrario de la primera con la que inauguramos el curso, no tenía ningún conocimiento con el tejido, cosa que me alegró mucho pues no fue necesario hacer correcciones en cuanto a la toma de la aguja, sino que era un lienzo en blanco.
Le expliqué como se tomaba la aguja y el hilo, y así luego de algunos minutos logró dar sus primeras lazadas. ♥
She helped me take some great photos, which I'll share with you in another post. This first one is one of them, and it perfectly describes how my classes unfold: me sitting at the head of the table, my students at the sides working on their projects and receiving instructions.
The new student, unlike the first one we started the course with, had no knitting experience, which made me very happy because I didn't need to make any corrections regarding her needle grip; it was a blank canvas.
I explained how to hold the needle and thread, and after a few minutes, she was able to make her first loops. ♥
Con la otra alumna comenzamos con el tejido circular. Como les comenté en el post anterior de las clases, ella ya sabía tejer algunos puntos, y estábamos listos para avanzar con un nivel más complicado, en este caso, hacer un círculo a crochet.
Ella lo fue haciendo súper bien, demoraba un poco tejiendo, pero de a poco lo iba logrando hasta que pudo finalizar.
With the other student, we started with circular knitting. As I mentioned in the previous post about the classes, she already knew how to knit a few stitches, and we were ready to move on to a more complicated level, in this case, crocheting a circle.
She did very well. It took her a while to knit, but little by little she got the hang of it until she was able to finish.
Así pasaron las dos horas de clases, ellas tejiendo y yo mientras corrigiendo los puntos que iban haciendo.
Las clases de crochet suelen ser bien calladas pues los alumnos se concentran en lo que están haciendo, contando las vueltas, los puntos y asegurándose de no saltarse otros.
Yo disfruto mucho estos momentos, porque como les comenté en un post anterior, es un sueño que desde hace varios años tuve, enseñar crochet.
That's how the two-hour class passed, with them knitting and me correcting the stitches they were making.
Crochet classes are usually very quiet because the students concentrate on what they're doing, counting the rows and stitches, and making sure they don't skip any others.
I really enjoy these moments because, as I mentioned in a previous post, teaching crochet is a dream I've had for several years.
Ambas alumnas lograron avanzar mucho durante la clase, y aunque quedaron cositas pendientes ellas se fueron bien contentas a sus casa.
Yo por supuesto llena de satisfacción por lograr transmitir mis conocimientos y ayudar a otros a crecer.
Both students made significant progress during the class, and although there were still some things left to learn, they went home very happy.
I was, of course, filled with satisfaction for being able to pass on my knowledge and help others grow.
