TikTok, as a platform, is saturated with disingenuous content and blatant double standards. The fact that I can't openly express support for a policy backed by both the President of the United States and the Governor of Florida speaks volumes about how politically biased the platform has become. As a Latino, simply stating support for Donald Trump is enough to trigger so-called “community guideline” violations. Even something as innocuous as saying, "As a Latino, I support Alligator Alcatraz," can result in content removal and put my account at risk of being permanently banned. The rules seem arbitrarily enforced depending on who you are and what you believe. It's disturbing that having conservative views while being part of a minority group is treated as an offense.

Every day, TikTok demonstrates how it plays an active role in shaping social narratives through selective censorship. The platform's moderation practices reveal a consistent bias that undermines ideological diversity and open dialogue. It's not just about content violations—it's about controlling what kind of voices are allowed to be heard. This is precisely why I have deep mistrust for platforms run by progressive ideologies that claim to support inclusivity while suppressing dissent. They claim to protect marginalized voices, but only if those voices say the “right” things. In a space where free expression should thrive, it’s become clear that TikTok picks and chooses whose culture and opinions are allowed to exist.
