When you slide your finger across the screen, I feel like you're actually taking a step back, wanting to put distance between us. Maybe you’re just trying to avoid that awkward silence when you don't quite know what to say. Or maybe I'm just one of those six degrees that ultimately bring you a little closer to the person you really want to meet—and that person is almost certainly my friend, who is now busy ordering drinks at the bar.
Everything seems to indicate that, for you, I only got halfway through that theory that says we can connect with anyone on this planet in just six steps, except, as is the case now, the person right next to us. In a final attempt to get your attention, I shout, drowned out by the murmur of the sea of conversations in the bar: “Do you know Kevin Bacon?” It seems to work, because, for a moment, somewhat confused, you look up from your phone.

Cuando deslizas el dedo por la pantalla, siento como si darĂas un paso atrás y quisieras mantener la distancia entre nosotros. Tal vez solo quieras evitar ese silencio incĂłmodo cuando no sabes muy bien quĂ© decir o quizás yo solo estĂ© en uno de esos seis grados que, en definitiva, te acercan un poco más a esa persona a la que realmente quieres conocer y que casi seguro es mi amigo, el que ahora está pidiendo las bebidas en la barra.
Todo parece indicar que yo para ti solo me quedĂ© a medio camino en esa teorĂa que dice que solo se necesitan seis pasos para conectar con cualquier persona del planeta, pero que ahora mismo no parece funcionar justo cuando te tengo al lado. En un Ăşltimo intento por atraer tu atenciĂłn, te grito, ahogado por el murmullo de las conversaciones del bar —¿Conoces a Kevin Bacon?.
Parece que funciona, porque, por un momento y algo confundida, apartas la mirada del teléfono.
