THE POWER OF LOVE
I believe that humans are naturally self-loving, they in one way or the other do all that is in their power to make themselves happy. The entire struggle of any human person is in fact directed towards his or her happiness, a happiness that he or she may never attain. How then can such a creature love unconditionally?
Religion sometimes seem to preach unconditional love, but the human person simply cannot give what is not in his nature except he fights his own very nature. Come to think of it, is there really any religion that completely stands for unconditional love? Most religion preach a doctrines that proposes eternal happiness, such doctrines sometimes demand that individual do all that is in their power to attain eternity. It could be said then that a religious person is good simply because he or she aims at a better life in a world to come. At the end of it all we arrive again at a self-loving life.
In as much as I believe that humans are naturally self-loving, there are cases in history where people tend to love the others more than themselves and that for me in some sense could be regarded as an unconditional love. That notwithstanding, I am of the opinion that it takes lots of discipline to attain a stage where one can risk or even sacrifice his or her live for the others. It in fact takes one to fight against his own very nature and that is certainly not an easy task. There are probably few men and women who have attained such stage, a stage where they can give their lives at the cost of saving complete strangers.
I am @ernsto6402 and I have always believed in the power of love, I have always believed that love is all that we need to make the world a better place. The world is probably evil because we humans are yet to learn how to love, we are yet to start opposing our selfish nature. I do not speak of the almighty unconditional love yet, we can start somewhere no matter how little. It does not take a lot to put a smile on another's face and that is what I am talking about. It must not always be you and your immediate family, it could be that one person who needs it the most. A simple kindness will certainly not hurt. As Cobhams will put it, "if we have a world of ordinary people extraordinary things will happen through me and you". We must do all that is in our power to become ordinary people, only then can we cause extraordinary things to be.

I also believe love going to make the world a better place and that is only possible if humans take it upon themselves to love themselves more and then extend to others.
