MY EXPIRIENCE WITH STRESS

The world is all about systems and many of us multitask a lot. Tell us about the system that works for you. How did you come about it? Is it still effective today? If you don’t believe in multitasking, tell us why.



At the beginning of this year, I made a promise to myself. To a large extent, I think I am keeping up with that very promise but it has never been easy. The work load sometimes becomes unimaginable, but I certainly have to keep up. I am @ernesto6402 and I will be telling you a little about myself and the system that works for me.

My former self was never a type that multitask. Though I have never been a lazy man, but pushing myself beyond my comfort zone was never my thing. The beginning of this year was a great mile stone for me. It was never going to be easy but I knew what I signed up from the very beginning. I decided that I must have a substantial savings before the year runs off. It was not going to be an easy task since I was just earning fifty thousand naira as at that time, an amount that could barely take care of my feeding as at January when things where better [over here in Nigeria]. I certainly have to look for other source of income.

At some point, I was practically working round the clock. I go to work during the day while I sit in from of my system through the night, I guess I was disparate to a certain extent. By the middle of the year, I was able establish a strong source of income from my online earnings. One that could completely take care of my experiences outside of my salary but it was at the expense of my body as I almost broke down. Now we are experiencing the effects of stress and it must be taken care of.

I was not going to stop, but I have to do something if I must not be forced to stop by my body. There was no symptoms of fever but my eyes were closing, I experienced severe pains all over my body and I was week like never before. At some point I felt like I was fainting. I have never experienced this before but I knew what it was. I had no option than to stay away from work for two days. I slept as much as I can, feed well and had time for some leisure. I got better, but I must do something if it must not happen again.

There is nothing more to it than to get enough rest but there was probably no time for that, the night is for me as important as the day. I was practically sleeping for about two hours daily and that was never enough. All the while I simply needed to manage my time well and that was what I did. I have not actually been working through the whole night but yet I found not enough time for sleep, I have certainly got to leverage on that. All the while I began my night work between 10pm and 10:30pm while I finish from work by 5pm. The time between 6pm and 10pm have always been unproductive and certainly have to do something about it. I began by placing my priorities right, I canceled every of my activities that falls within that time. Once I am back from work, I use that period of time to have a long sleep of about 3 to 4 hours before facing my system. I have tried it for about a month and 2 weeks now and it seems to be working out well.

Stress is one of the difficulty that comes along with multitasking but it is a challenge that could be overcome if well managed. Time management is a method have worked for a while now and I think is a perfect method.

If I was earning 50k that time ehn... lol. Omoh in my state, if you were earning 50k, you're a baller o! Big one sef. But I have experienced the breakdowns stress can cause. Your system is a good solution

I served in Benue state last year and it was like I was in another world. Foods were practically three times cheaper than they are over here in Port Harcourt, I guess you are from Benue state then.
Stress can be really terrible and I am happy to have learned how to go about handling it
