ATTAINING INNER PEACE
MINDFUL HABITS
The first stage in attaining inner peace is to carry out some crucial mindful actions. These actions are not alien to us; they are usual exercises needed to keep the mind and body fit. They range from physical to meditative exercises, and they can be achieved by anyone. Of course, the mind is entangled with the body, and both must be in good shape if absolute inner peace is to be attained. However, many people lack the discipline to keep their bodies fit, which can hinder achieving a peaceful mind. That notwithstanding, I do not completely dismiss the possibility of attaining a peaceful mind even with an unhealthy body.
POSITIVITY AND GRATITUDE
The next step towards attaining an absolute peaceful state is positivity and gratitude. It's extremely challenging to achieve peacefulness with a negative mindset. In fact, negativity greatly harms the human mind, and a troubled mind lacks the capacity to experience happiness. Simultaneously, we must cultivate gratitude within ourselves; a kind of gratitude that emanates from within. In practicing gratitude, we must acknowledge not only others but also ourselves. Gratitude should flow from self-appreciation to those around us. For me, gratitude is a powerful means of spreading positivity. There's no greater positivity than expressing self-appreciation, filling oneself with immense love, which is universally relatable. People naturally feel happy when they're appreciated.
SELF-CARE
In our quest for happiness, we must learn to know when to say no. We must learn to know when to put the self first. At the same time, we must learn not to mistake this act for selfishness. As a matter of fact, spreading positivity is one of the most important steps towards attaining inner peace, at that demands that we give from the self. On the other hand, we must not give so much that the self suffers. It is also very crucial to note that material things are not paramount here; care, emotional support, and even time are most crucial in this matter. You must be there for yourself as much as you are for every other person. Not being able to achieve that can cost you your happiness.
CONCLUSION
Everyone wants to attain that state where the mind will experience absolute happiness, but not everyone wants to do what it demands. It is most likely the case that you already know most or even all of these things that I have written. If that be the case, then the question would be based on why you have not been able to keep up with them. I might not have completely exhausted what one must do to attain inner peace, but it can all be summarized as being able to keep the mind and body healthy. Why then do you prefer an unhealthy mind and body? You must take a step today. Come to think of it, I myself have a long way to go😔.
