In my opinion, humanity's greatest need is love. Have you ever sat back to imagine how the world would look if everyone actually cared for one another? Listening to "One Love" by Bob Marley yesterday evening got me thinking.

The most beautiful thing about love is the fact that it puts a smile on the face of the one being loved. It is never selfish, it is never sad, and it is never arrogant; most importantly, you know it when you feel it. If only more people would feel what it means to be loved, but it is certainly not possible if no one is ready to give. If only we would learn to give more than we take.

It all begins at home. But then, the self must first experience it. It follows that if the self does not understand what it means to be loved, showing love to another might become difficult. Nevertheless, the self will better understand from those who are closest - family. At the end, it all begins at home. It becomes a problem if a family lacks love; they are not just impacting sadness on themselves, they are also creating individuals who will lack love. Such individuals will certainly not know what it means to love.

Ordinary People by Cobhams

Cobhams calls it a world of ordinary people; if only we can attain such a world. In the words of Cobhams, attaining a world of ordinary people will eventually cause extraordinary things to happen through us. It is for him a world of absolute peace - no war, no family crises, and no hunger of any form. A world where everyone looks out for everyone; an absolute peaceful world.

To attain such a world is possible; all that is needed is change, and we can cause that change to happen. It is about ordinary things - showing love and understanding that we all are better together. Begin by making sure the beggar on your street never goes hungry, by greeting your neighbours with a cheerful smile each time you come across them, and by doing your job diligently, along with many other ordinary things. It is never a difficult task, it has never being.

I have always been a lover of humanity, and I carry out my own little deeds to impact positively those around me. As much as it is impossible to single-handedly change the world, no impact is ever too small. It is always better to begin from your own little world - your family, friends, and colleagues. Each time you think it is of no use, remember you are not just showing love; you are implanting the seed of love in the one being loved. By implication, you are teaching them how to love. You are creating more disciples of love.
