Beggars in my country are removed by the police as begging is illegal here. Regardless, you still see one or two, here and there.

I'm with you on giving anything to beggars for the same reason. You often see begfars smoking, while cigarettes are crazy expensive, or eating fast food, which is also not cheap and definitely not for those who pretend to be in need of money. I even wrote a post about it not long ago.
