Random Photos
Today I'm going to take a break from exhibitions and art, and post some photos I've been taking lately. Most likely I'm not alone with this, but i like to take photos whenever I see a nice scene, landscape or something that seems interesting to me, store the photo, then post them on Hive, from time to time.

The last post in which I posted random shots was God knows when, I can't even estimate how many months have passed, so there's time to write one today.
These photos were captured last year in November, when the weather was a bit cold, but still nice and sunny. Compared to other years, when I literally went out autumn photo hunting, last year I only captured scenes that were in my way, if I saw any. It's not like I lost interest, but had no time for such adventure.

This photo was taken in October last year and clearly remember my thoughts and intention. I said it's a good photo to be turned into black and white, so here it is.

But seeing it both, I don't know which one is better, honestly.

Experimenting with different filters has been a fun game for me, but again, it's been literally ages since I've done that. I remember when I started out with this account on Hive, I had a challenge called "Color, Black & White, Sepia" (I'm not sure this was the order of the words though) and posted all 3 versions of a set of photos each week, just for fun.
Sepia is not really appreciated, or less used I think. The reason could be various, but we have some photographers who are good in this regard.
This photo is not 100% sepia, but I think it gives you the feeling that it it.
We had very nice weather before All Saints Day and on the way to the cemetery, I took this photo. There was no way to see the house behind the trees, but the rusty color combined with the yellow-brown fence looked great.
Black and white dis not look good, so I made it sepia and I like it. It gives the photo a more dramatic tone, but it's not bad at all, it makes the eye focus on the fence I think.
This photo may seem strange, but for me, this is the gem of the post. It is not staged in any way and not edited either, except for the signature. This is the type of photography I'd like to focus on, but for that, I need to go out of the city as here streets are cleaned regularly, so there's zero chance I can find leaves on the ground, unless I'm lucky and I don't like to stage such scenes.
I love the contrast between the rusty leaf and the grey cobblestone.
Back to my favorite place of relaxation.
I could literally sit and work from here if I'd have access to power. I've seen several people doing that, but once the battery of your laptop goes to critical levels, you can go home.
This is my theory, but reality might be slightly different. I don't know if I'd be able to focus knowing people are walking around me and the other factor that must be taken into consideration is light. I've seen traders showing off with photos showing them trading on the beach or in a pool, then one guy posted that whoever is posting such photos is a liar as once you get the strong sunlight on your screen, you see literally nothing, and he's right.

Last, but not least, another favorite of mine. Most likely, for most of you, there's nothing special in this photo, but for me it's still precious. It's a coffee shop with a nice terrace, but what it makes it interesting is the golden leaves and the light in the upper side of the photo.
This is it for today, I hope you have a favorite among these random shorts. Let me know in a comment.

I am with you on my favourite photo, I just love the lone golden autumn leaf on the grey cobblestone! I often look down when there are fallen leaves, seed pods, or pebbles on the ground, and stop to take a photo of them. They're all really nice, but another one I like is the fence, and your favourite place to relax!
I'm glad to read this dear Lizelle as so many people are walking totally blind and only stop to see what you're doing and look at you like you've gone mad 😆
Nature has a lot to offer and beauty comes in so many shapes and form, you just have to open your eyes and see as well, not just look.
I'm really glad you like my photos 🤗
So many people don't expect to see beauty on the ground and miss such a lot.
Have a wonderful day further @erikah!
You do such a wonderful job catching the beauty in your photos. We are supposed to get some snow tonight, so hoping it gives me some opportunities to grab some decent shots tomorrow during the day. Right now everything is just grey and dead here from winter. Nothing really to catch in a good photo.
Thank you Joe!
When the weather is like this, I go out and look for dry leaves, dry berries, or small rocks and take macro photos, but I must admit, due to trading, I had less time this winter, to go photo hunting.
Ive been trying to look for animals, but even the little squirrels haven't been out as much.
these places remind me a lot the little cities you can find outside the big city here, with lot of green and fields, spaces to relax
your photos give serenity sensations and relaxing aswell
i pick this one
it is where i would go for a walk after lunch !
I think we used to be relatives, siblings in a previous life 😆
It's a very nice place, in the middle of the busy city, but still high up and isolated enough to be quiet.
🤣
I will try and take a picture of where I usually go for a walk after lunch when it's sunny and a bit less cold 😄
Such a lovely collection of moments! Your photos capture everyday life in such a warm and authentic way — beautiful details, genuine atmosphere, and a real sense of presence. Thanks for sharing these slices of your world! 📷💛
Yes, this is the intention behind taking photographs. I'm glad you like them.
Some landscape photos look really cool. And especially when combined with black and white, they look really cool.
Yes, some look cool when turned into black and white.
Those golden leaves in the last photo were the first thing that caught my eye on the cover, I wanted to enlarge it and see what it was, a place of contrast. The two previous photos give me a lot of peace, I love it! The leaves... it's the same here, they clean so fast that there are no leaves, but I like to walk on them and listen to the rustling... what a great photo!💗
I prefer the B&W. Perhaps it can get a bit more - artificially filtered - contrast, but already good as it is!
I do like such tone, it gives an 'old' feeling to the photographs. Many photos of a 100 years ago have such tone.
First thing I saw are the wires on top. And then the fence and the rest.
I agree with you! This morning when I first saw your post, it was this picture that marked your collection.
I tried everything, including balconies under a ceiling, kinda. Nothing works. Reflection of daylight is simlpy to strong outside. I prefer to work indoors, always, at least when I need laptop and phone.
Dont forget the cute coffee car and the super relaxed vibe the overal picture gives.
