Random Photos
Today I thought I would create a post with random photos, as I used to in the past, but with the options we have lately, I thought I'd add a poll for you to be able to vote on the photo you like the most.
Poll option has been here for a while now, but have never tried it out. Today I saw someone use it for their post and I thought let's try it out. After all, the PeakD devs have worked on it to be used.
Let's start with this pigeon, which landed in my window two years ago. My neighbor used to feed them, even though feeding birds is illegal and makes you eligible for a nice fine. This may be shocking to some of you, but there's a good reason behind this decision and must be respected. I would never chase away these birds or hurt them in any way, but they must keep hunting fr their food and not get used to being fed by humans, which can stop at any time.
Long story short, pigeons have been landing in my kitchen window all day, every day, making a huge mess 💩 on the ledge.
The truth is, it's pretty difficult to photograph birds from close, if you don't have the necessary equipment and I only have my mobile camera available. Lucky me, I was able to get pretty close to the open window and took this shot through the mosquito net, which I thought would ruin everything, but in fact it made the photo a bit more interesting, especially the background. The wall looks like made with a net pattern, but it's not.
Most likely some of you have recognized this beautiful flower. If not, this is a chrysanthemum. I took this photo in September 2022, which is the time for these beauties to flower and unfortunately they are associated with the cemetery because this is the type of flower we bring to the cemetery on the 1st of November.
I am not part of them, the beauty of the flower is exceptional and love it regardless. Here I tried to focus on the center of the flower and make use of the light coming from the right.
This is the dark pink version. We usually get four colors if I'm not mistaken. Yellow, white, pink and purple. I love them all and can't wait to buy some this year. They are fun to photograph and I should get an entire photo shoot next time.
A black and white photo, to capture the reflection.
This is the ivy I love so much during autumn. I'm always out to photograph these lovely leaves, when they starting to change color.
A wild chestnut, which is a must during autumn. These cuties remind me of my childhood, we used to collect them and bring them home. The funny thing is, each chestnut has a different shape and the white spot on them has also a different shape. We used to make chestnut man out of them using tooth picks and I still do that. It's nice to be a kid again, even if it's for just a few minutes.
Grapes? Anyone? This is from my dad's garden and just by looking at it, I can feel the wonderful taste they have.
There are no grapes without those lovely leaves, which always amaze me. The transformation of these leaves is amazing. Going from green to dark red and golden yellow is not something you want to miss.
Last, but not least, the thing that the hazelnut tree is growing. I tried to find the English name of this thing as I only know how it's called in Hungarian, but I couldn't. So if you know how this thing is called, let me know.
Ok, you have 10 photos to choose from today. I'm going to try to create a poll where you can vote for multiple photos. let's see if I succeed.
Ok, looks like I need to study and test it first, so there will not be a poll today, maybe next time. Anyway, you have the numbers and can let me know which photo you like.

wow the picture you shared is very beautiful. Moreover, chrysanthemums are truly extraordinary. I really enjoyed it❤❤
I couldn't agree more. I'm glad you like them.
Good idea with this poll, I think it also helps with engagement, and as feedback, you can also test what we like most about photography. My favorite is number 6. I'm not a fan of (too) close-up photos.
I'm waiting for the first poll...
Thanks Bluemoon, the poll seems easy, but last night I could not figure out how to post in a community. Helps is on its way, so my next post will definitely contain a poll. I didn't know you don't like close ups :) No worries though.
I'm sure you'll figure out the procedure for the poll and it will show up in your post.
As for the close-ups, I think it's too much to say that I don't like them because in the past I did. I think it's something to do with my state of mind now...
I like the survey idea. I think surveys like this will be extremely useful in terms of participation and development. I found the black and white picture more beautiful. In particular, the reflections of living and non-living creatures in nature become more striking. Just like the setting sun reflecting on the sea.
You're not alone with the black and white photo. I was a bit worries as one single black and white photo may look like and intruder, but apparently I was wrong.
If this was an exam I will rather fail all the questions, lol! Because I probably cannot choose a single number, all the photos are beautiful but I will go with number 6 probably because of the autumn feeling it carries.
No worries if you can't choose one, that is still good :)

I have it on my list to figure out polls too... lol
I like number 5. The repetitive elements and reflections make a great photo 👍 with the grape leaf (#9) a close second.
Thank you Steven, I need to learn this word.
The poll seems to be easy, but I could not figure out how to post it in a community. I asked for help and my next post will definitely contain a poll.
Interesting choice with No. 5. I thought no one would like it because is bkack and whit.
Big applause!!!... Wonderful to see these diverse photos!... My favorite: "The 4 !" ;)

number 9 is my fav! although most of them are interesting photos! ;)
I'm happy to hear that.
My favourite is number 2 but I love pigeons too, and I really like the expression of the 1 photo!
Makes me happy to know :)
mi piace la 7, l'ippocastano che cresce nel giardino vicino casa
It is common, you can find it everywhere I think.
I was quite surprised by the information about not being able to feed birds, but even though I don't know much about the context, it seems totally reasonable to me. I had also seen someone's publication with a survey but I didn't investigate how to use it hahaa now I'm curious.
Polls are easy to use, but unfortunately one of the major problems you have to deal with is that there's no save the draft option.
