More Beauties From The Art Camp
Today I'd like to show you the rest of the artworks from the art camp that I saw at the exhibition at the end of August. Unbelievable how fast time is passing. I remember that day clearly as I visited 3 exhibition that day, plus a fair and was hot as hell, but I didn't realize it's been more than six weeks since then.
Before writing this post, I was thinking of what it means to look at a painting. It means a different thing for each of us and the answer ranges from "nothing" to "..." you fill out the blank.
A landscape featuring a part of the countryside. Not unique in its genre, I suppose each painter had a landscape of a countryside, but they are still not the same. For me, looking at this one means calmness. This is something I had to realize over the years. When I'm tired and work out, I tend to long after the calmness these places provide for the visitors. I love the brushstrokes here, the light coming from the right side and the lovely colors. I'd be happy to have this one. (I keep saying this about every other artwork. Now you know how lucky I am that there's not enough space to host a lot of artworks 😂)
A fast-flowing mountain creek? I still remember falling into one when I was 15 or so, getting all wet and the water was ice cold.
Lack of information leaves me wondering if this is an imaginary place, or an existing one. Here the brushstrokes are thicker than I'd like them, but I wouldn't call this a disadvantage, would categorize it as different in a good sense of the word. Regardless, I'd spend a month in that place for sure :)
Wooden chair with a carved back, a lovely piece confirming the talent of the artists.
I always love these carved wooden chairs, but as I said in my previous post, this is for the eye, not for the comfort of you back.
A lovely triptych, but also a riddle. I love to give my readers riddles from time to time and read the answers to my question, then see who's right and who isn't, but this is a bit different now. To be brutally honest, I'm not sure what I'm seeing here. I mean I see an old man with top hat, long beard and mustache and a pipe, a female nude and a baby. What I love here is the change in color, going from dark green on the left and transitioning to a yellowish, orange. Tell me what the significance of it is in your opinion?
I'm not sure if this was part of the artworks created in the art camp, or just a decoration, but it was a really lovely one. The most amazing thing about it is its simplicity and the common raw material used. This shows with a little imagination and skills, you can create miracles. I'm thinking of creating something similar. Why not have mine?
This was a bit strange to be honest. I like the idea to use lace on canvas and apply it on a landscape, but using a sunset made it a bit kitschy in my opinion. Let's see if I'm alone with this opinion.
This painting was called "Heat Wave", finally one that has a title and we can have some clue about what the artist meant. Do you see it as heat wave? Interesting that the landscape has a pattern as well, printed on it so to speak.
This is going to be another riddle, as it has no title and it's not very explicit either. This again from the "you see what you want" category, which is not a bad thing at all. I'm going to try to explain what I see here, but you also feel free to let me know what you think.
I think this is a landscape, with a road or a path that is lighted. The colors are definitely pleasing to the eye.
Let's close up with another lovely landscape, by a well known, local artist. Although I didn't see a price list or ask if these lovely artworks are for sale, I suppose you'd pay around 300 - 400 euro for this painting. I like it and as the previous ones, I think it means calmness to me.
This is it for today. You know the drill, let me know which one you like, in a comment and also see if you can solve the riddles I left for you in this post.

I like the woodwork designs on the chairs !PIZZA
This particular one was pretty simple, compared to what I've seen in my life, but beautiful. I agree.

Come get MOONed!
In the blank space, I would say “everything.” Looking at a painting is seeing a reality, it can be that of the artist himself or a general one, and it can even reflect your own. But it's true that there are people who see nothing at all.
I love seeing the brushstrokes in the early paintings! And the chair is beautiful, but it's not exactly good for my back, I have cervical problems haha.
As for the riddle, I'll tell you that it's my favorite work, and I think it means creation, birth, evolution, and there's an explosion and spectacular gradient of colors! I love it!😍
my favorite pick for this
triptych: i see a man's life, when he is a child, then when he finds a woman (and im not sure if it's red fingers on her left shoulder) and then the eldery alone
"you see what you want": i see a small house or church middle right, then the sky upper is kinda dark so i guess the white thing is the moon with it's light
