🎼 Music Review: The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! Hace mucho no me paso con una publicación por acá, pero como salió el nuevo disco de mi artista favorita y ya hace 1 semana que lo vengo escuchando sin parar, vengo acá a compartirles mi opinión.
The Life of a Showgirl es el álbum musical número 12 de Taylor Swift y salió el pasado 3 de octubre con un total de 12 canciones. En él podemos encontrar temas mucho más alegres y bailables que sus anteriores producciones. La verdad es que estoy conforme con la situación porque necesitaba algo mucho más rítmico y alegre de ella, amo sus álbumes melancólicos y tristes, pero esos ya están, ahora hacía falta este cambio en mi opinión.
En este disco las letras son ingeniosas y tienen un plot twist interesante, si bien es cierto que no son muy profundas, me encanta esta nueva etapa de una Taylor feliz viviendo su vida y jugando con la ironía. No sé qué le metio al álbum pero es una adicción, algunas de las canciones las escucho como 10 veces al día fuera de joda. Además, me pasa que me gusta que sea un álbum corto en comparación a los anteriores, pero al mismo tiempo me disgusta porque me hace querer más de estos ritmos y letras ocurrentes.

No voy a mentir y decir que es uno de sus mejores discos, pero tiene lo suyo y a mí me fascina, siento que es un soplo de aire fresco después de tanta tormenta. Amo que sea tan adictivo y que tenga joyitas, realmente no siento que ninguna canción de este álbum merezca ser skippeada. También tengo que decir que desde Fearless más o menos que un lead single, es decir el track número 1 de un álbum, no me gustaba tanto.
Sin lugar a duda, mi tema favorito es The Fate of Ophelia, es una obsesión desde la primera escuchada, apenas sentí los acordes supe que iba a ser mi favorito indiscutible. Luego le siguen Opalite y Wi$h Li$h. Aunque todas me encantan por igual, pero estas 3 me hacen querer escucharlas a cada rato. También quiero hacer una mención especial a Honey porque siento que no está recibiendo el reconocimiento que se merece y es un temazo.

Y bueno, tenemos el vídeo musical de The Fate of Ophelia que salió el domingo pasado a la noche y que es toda una obra de arte, hacía mucho que no tenía un vídeo tan coreografiado como ese. La verdad es que me gustó mucho, aunque tampoco considero que sea uno de sus mejores vídeos musicales, sin embargo, tiene lo suyo y espero que sea reconocido. El tema es buenísimo, recomiendo escucharlo si no lo hicieron y quizá se sorprendan.
Algo que estoy viendo con estas nuevas canciones es que les está gustando a gente que no suele escucharla y a otras personas que si la escuchan parece no gustarle el álbum. Lo que es válido, para gustos los colores. Esta es una opinión personal y subjetiva de mi parte, y de lo que me hizo sentir el álbum. No solía poner temas de Taylor en fiestas, pero con estas canciones lo haré jajaja, son ideales para echarse un bailecito y ser feliz por 41 minutos. Es un total acierto para mí y mis gustos.

Hello, friends! It's been a while since I've posted here, but since my favorite artist's new album came out and I've been listening to it nonstop for a week now, I'm here to share my opinion with you.
The Life of a Showgirl is Taylor Swift's 12th album and was released on October 3rd with a total of 12 songs. It features much more upbeat and danceable tracks than her previous releases. The truth is that I'm happy with the situation because I needed something much more rhythmic and cheerful from her. I love her melancholic and sad albums, but those are already out there, and now I think this change was needed.
The lyrics on this album are clever and have an interesting plot twist. While it's true that they're not very deep, I love this new phase of Taylor being happy, living her life, and playing with irony. I don't know what she put in the album, but it's addictive. I listen to some of the songs like 10 times a day, no joke. I also like that it's a short album compared to her previous ones, but at the same time, I dislike that because it makes me want more of these rhythms and witty lyrics.

I'm not going to lie and say it's one of her best albums, but it has its charm and I love it. I feel like it's a breath of fresh air after so much turmoil. I love that it's so addictive and has some real gems. I don't feel like any song on this album deserves to be skipped. I also have to say that since Fearless, I haven't really liked lead singles, i.e., the number one track on an album.
Without a doubt, my favorite song is The Fate of Ophelia. I've been obsessed with it since the first time I heard it. As soon as I heard the chords, I knew it was going to be my undisputed favorite. Next are Opalite and Wi$h Li$h. Although I love them all equally, these three make me want to listen to them all the time. I also want to give a special mention to Honey because I feel like it's not getting the recognition it deserves, and it's a great song.

Well, we have the music video for The Fate of Ophelia, which came out last Sunday night and is a real work of art. It's been a long time since I've seen a video with such elaborate choreography. I really liked it, although I don't think it's one of their best music videos. Still, it has its own charm, and I hope it gets recognized. The song is great. I recommend listening to it if you haven't already. You might be surprised.
Something I'm noticing with these new songs is that people who don't usually listen to her music are liking them, while others who do listen to her music don't seem to like the album. Which is fine, everyone has different tastes. This is my personal, subjective opinion, and how the album made me feel. I didn't used to play Taylor's songs at parties, but with these songs I will, ha ha ha, they're perfect for dancing around and being happy for 41 minutes. It's a total hit for me and my tastes.
