🎬 Movie Review: Jurassic World: Rebirth [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! En el día de hoy les traigo la reseña de una película que tarde en ver, pero tenía muchas ganas ya que soy muy fan de todas estas entregas sobre dinosaurios. Les estoy hablando de Jurassic World: El renacer.

Hello friends! Today I bring you the review of a movie that took me a while to see, but I was really looking forward to it since I'm a big fan of all these dinosaur movies. I'm talking about Jurassic World: Rebirth.

La historia está ambientada en nuestro mundo actual con los dinosaurios muriendo a causa de que no son compatibles con la vida moderna. Solo hay un lugar en el que sobreviven, una isla en Ecuador. Allí van un grupo de personas como parte de una expedición secreta para recolectar ADN de los dinosaurios más grandes y así fabricar un medicamento que cure las patologías cardíacas en los humanos. Pero muy pronto se darán cuenta que no se debe desafiar a la naturaleza y que está siempre se las ingenia para seguir su curso. Verán que los humanos no son recibidos en ese lugar que los dinosaurios reclamaron como propio.

The story is set in our current world with dinosaurs dying out because they are not compatible with modern life. There is only one place where they survive, an island in Ecuador. A group of people go there as part of a secret expedition to collect DNA from the largest dinosaurs to make a drug to cure heart disease in humans. But very soon they will realize that nature should not be defied and that it always manages to follow its course. They will see that humans are not welcome in the place that the dinosaurs claimed as their own.

Una nueva entrega de esta especie de saga siempre es bienvenida por mí porque me trae mucha nostalgia y me dan ganas de ver con qué cosas nuevas nos vamos a encontrar. La película estuvo bastante bien en mostrar como los dinosaurios de verdad no son compatibles con la vida moderna y eso me hace pensar en que sería muy cruel intentar revivir lo que ya sé extinguió que por algo habrá sucedido. Es triste, pero es la ley de la naturaleza, no se debe jugar con la genética porque estaremos alterando todo el ecosistema y también nos perjudicamos a nosotros.

A new installment of this kind of saga is always welcomed by me because it brings me a lot of nostalgia and makes me want to see what new things we are going to find. The movie was pretty good in showing how the real dinosaurs are not compatible with modern life and that makes me think that it would be very cruel to try to revive what I already know is extinct and that it must have happened for a reason. It is sad, but it is the law of nature, we should not play with genetics because we will be altering the entire ecosystem and we will also harm ourselves.

La película muestra un poco de esto, pero también es mágico ver cómo se reagruparon y siguieron con sus vidas en aquella isla que se adecua a sus necesidades, hasta que la mano del hombre de nuevo viene a molestarlos. Salvo que en esta ocasión la única meta es conseguir algo de sangre, sin necesidad de matar a ninguno, y salir con vida en el proceso. Pero claro, esa no es una tarea tan sencilla como parece en un principio.

The film shows a bit of this, but it is also magical to see how they regroup and go on with their lives on that island that suits their needs, until the hand of man again comes to disturb them. Except this time the only goal is to get some blood, without the need to kill any of them, and get out alive in the process. But of course, that's not as simple a task as it first appears.

De alguna manera sentí esta historia más cercana a sus primeras versiones, tuvo ese humor característico y escenas de humanos siendo devorados por ellos. Que sí, que sentí lástima por algunos. Pero bueno, otros se lo merecían. También me encantó el escenario en el que sucedió y que no se tratara de un parque está vez, sino de ellos andando libremente por la naturaleza.

Somehow I felt this story closer to its first versions, it had that characteristic humor and scenes of humans being devoured by them. Yes, I felt sorry for some of them. But hey, others deserved it. I also loved the setting in which it happened and that it wasn't a park this time, but them walking freely through nature.

No sé porqué esperaba una mayor participación del T-REX como nos tiene acostumbrados a que suele aparecer para ser el héroe del día o dar una buenísima impresión jajaja. Tuvo su momento de estrella, pero no me gustó que casi se comiera a los más inocentes en toda esa aventura. También apareció una nueva mutación que daba impresión verla de verdad. Y, por supuesto, no podía faltar el pequeño dinosaurio que te roba el corazón, love you Dolores.

I don't know why I expected a greater participation of the T-REX as he usually appears to be the hero of the day or to make a good impression hahaha. He had his star moment, but I didn't like that he almost ate the most innocent people in that whole adventure. There was also a new mutation that was really impressive to see. And, of course, we couldn't miss the little dinosaur that steals your heart, love you Dolores.

La trama no es nada del otro mundo, al final no sé sabe en qué queda lo del medicamento porque no es lo principal. Sino un medio para llegar a la isla e interactuar con los dinosaurios. Así que hay varios detalles y cosas sin sentido que no tienen explicación. Pero tampoco creo que se trate de una producción que necesite de ellas. Uno está acá y las sigue viendo por ellos, las estrellas son los dinosaurios. O al menos eso es lo que espero ver cuando sale una nueva de Jurassic. Así que esto lo cumple bien.

The plot is nothing special, in the end I don't know what happens with the medicine because it's not the main thing. It's just a way to get to the island and interact with the dinosaurs. So there are several details and nonsense things that have no explanation. But I don't think it's a production that needs them either. You're here and you keep seeing them for them, the stars are the dinosaurs. Or at least that's what I expect to see when a new Jurassic comes out. So this fulfills that well.

También me gustó ver nuevas caras dándole vida a este mundo. Cada uno aportando de su parte, me gustaron los actores que eligieron y el papel que desempeñaron. Así que es una buena producción para ver y pasar un rato entretenido, si les gusta la saga tal vez sientan cierta nostalgia o quizá no les guste tanto, a mí me gustó mucho. Por lo que es una secuela que recomiendo ver si les gusta el universo.

I also liked seeing new faces giving life to this world. Each one doing their part, I liked the actors they chose and the role they played. So it's a good production to watch and have an entertaining time, if you like the saga maybe you feel some nostalgia or maybe you don't like it so much, I liked it a lot. So it is a sequel that I recommend to see if you like the universe.
