🎬 Movie Review: How to Train Your Dragon [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! Hoy les quiero hablar acerca del Live Action de la película de Cómo entrenar a tu dragón que pude ver hace poco y quedé maravillada, no solo por su adaptación tan fiel, sino porque hacía mucho que no la veía y fue redescubrirla.

Hello friends! Today I want to talk to you about the Live Action of the movie How to Train Your Dragon that I saw recently and I was amazed, not only for its faithful adaptation, but also because I hadn't seen it for a long time and I rediscovered it.

En esta historia seguimos a Hipo un joven Vikingo que intenta probar su valía ante la tribu que vive en unas tierras llamadas Bert que están rodeadas de dragones que les roban sus alimentos. Ellos están en constante guerra y Hipo se entrena como todos para enfrentarse a los dragones y matarlos, pero él es diferente. Tanto que en una de sus incursiones se encuentra con el temible Furia Nocturna del que no hay registro y en vez de matarlo lo ayuda a recuperarse y crean un lazo de amistad. Ahora Hipo se debate entre serle fiel a su pueblo y lo que profesan o si hay otro camino, alguna manera de coexistir con estas temibles criaturas.

In this story we follow Hiccup a young Viking who tries to prove himself to the tribe that lives in a land called Bert that is surrounded by dragons that steal their food. They are constantly at war and Hiccup trains like everyone else to face the dragons and kill them, but he is different. So much so that on one of his forays he encounters the fearsome Night Fury of which there is no record and instead of killing him he helps him recover and they form a bond of friendship. Now Hiccup is torn between being faithful to his people and what they profess or if there is another way, some way to coexist with these fearsome creatures.

Mi mood de este mes fueron los dragones, es increíble lo fascinada que estoy con ellos, si existieran de verdad seria muy feliz, daría mi reino por ser amiga de alguno, los amo de verdad. Pero bueno, como no es posible consumo contenido relacionado a ellos, ya sea alguna producción audiovisual como esta o en formato libro.

My mood this month was dragons, it's amazing how fascinated I am with them, if they really existed I would be very happy, I would give my kingdom to be friends with one, I really love them. But well, since it is not possible to consume content related to them, either an audiovisual production like this one or in book format.

Bueno, como les anticipé, la película me resultó bastante fiel a la versión original, con algunos agregados inevitables, pero que no molestaron para nada. Es un buen reflejo de que se pueden hacer buenas versiones de clásicos animados. Creo que la mayoría acá debe conocer la historia de Chimuelo, este pequeño dragón que se gana el cariño de Hipo y les demuestra a todos que se pueden crear lazos entre humanos y dragones si se aprende a respetarlos.

Well, as I anticipated, the film was quite faithful to the original version, with some unavoidable additions, but that didn't bother me at all. It is a good reflection that good versions of animated classics can be made. I think most people here should know the story of Toothless, this little dragon who wins Hiccup's affection and shows everyone that you can create bonds between humans and dragons if you learn to respect them.

La historia por sí sola siempre me conmovió, me da mucha pena en un principio como Hipo es tratado como tan poco cosa por no tener la fortaleza que se espera de los vikingos y encima todo le sale mal, aunque también es gracioso de ver y, en última instancia, los diferentes terminan siendo los que cambien al mundo. Es así, las ovejas negras suelen destacar, pero al final logran grandes cosas y está no es la excepción.

The story alone always moved me, I feel very sorry at first how Hiccup is treated as such a little thing for not having the strength expected of Vikings and on top of that everything goes wrong for him, although it's also funny to see and ultimately the different ones end up being the ones who change the world. It's like that, the black sheep usually stand out, but in the end they achieve great things and this is no exception.

También nos encontramos con una trama divertida y entretenida, además de ser muy interesantes porque el objetivo radica en encontrar el nido de los dragones para lograr destruirlo y que ellos se vayan, pero hay un motivo mucho más grande en el comportamiento de estos dragones y, tal vez, estos no sean la amenaza real. Eso es lo que averiguan Hipo y Astrid con la ayuda de Chimuelo, pero bueno, no hablare sobre esto por si hay alguien que no vio la película.

We also find a funny and entertaining plot, besides being very interesting because the objective is to find the dragons' nest to destroy it and make them go away, but there is a much bigger motive in the behavior of these dragons and, perhaps, they are not the real threat. That's what Hiccup and Astrid find out with the help of Toothless, but well, I will not talk about this in case there is someone who did not see the movie.

Adoré la personificación de los actores que eligieron para los personajes, algunos eran muy parecidos de verdad. Me encanta ver ese nivel de compromiso, se nota que fue una producción a la que le pusieron mucho esmero en hacerla bien y se puede decir que lo lograron o al menos esa es mi opinión. Me encantó verla y recordarla, por lo que se las recomiendo y si no conocen la historia ojalá se animen a verla. Esta es la señal que estaban esperando.

I adored the personification of the actors they chose for the characters, some of them were very similar indeed. I love to see that level of commitment, you can tell it was a production that they put a lot of care in making it well and you can say that they succeeded or at least that's my opinion. I loved watching it and remembering it, so I recommend it and if you don't know the story, I hope you are encouraged to watch it. This is the sign you were waiting for.
