¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. Hoy me paso por acá para participar de las preguntas de la semana de la mano de @marivic10 con temas que captaron mi atención.

¿Prefieres una casa con o sin jardín? ¿Te gustan las plantas? ¿Cómo las cuidas?

Me encantan las casas con jardines y amaría tener uno. Vivo en una casa que tiene patio, pero es todo de cemento, no hay tierra, tengo plantas en macetas. Actualmente tengo muchos cactus y suculentas y algunos potus. No estoy teniendo plantas con flores, esas no más en primavera, después en invierno tienden a marchitarse. Ahora acá estamos en invierno, por lo que ya no les hecho mucha agua a mis plantas y mantengo algunos cactus dentro o bajo techo para que no les afecte la lluvia, ni las heladas, y los riego 1 vez cada 2 o 3 semanas. A mis otras plantas las riego día por medio, un poco no más, y trato de que estén lo mejor posible. Lo bueno del frío es que no andan las plagas, pero si hay que tener más cuidado de que no se enfríen o se pudran por la humedad, ya que el ambiente en donde vivo es bastante mojado. Después cuando llegue la primavera si las empiezo a arreglar mejor y las podo así empiezan a crecer los nuevos brotes más fuertes y sanos. Pero la verdad es que sí, me encantaría tener un patio con tierra y poder plantarlas allí sin estar pensando en las macetas y estar cambiándolas cuando les quedan chicas o se rompen. También amo tener plantas, siento que le dan alegría, color y vida a mi patio.

Háblame de un personaje femenino de una película o un libro con el que te identifiques o que te haya inspirado. ¿Qué mensaje te dejó?

Tengo muchísimos personajes femeninos que amo, encima consumo tanto películas como libros, así que tengo heroínas para tirar para arriba. Aunque a veces no se necesita ser una gran heroína, solo una mujer común intentando hacer lo mejor que puede con lo que tiene, alguien real digamos. Pensando en las dos cosas nombraré a Katniss Everdeen de Los juegos del hambre. Ella es solo una adolescente que vive en la pobreza y se esfuerza todo el tiempo para ser el sostén de su familia, sobre todo el de su hermana pequeña, ya que su madre sufre depresión y no está tan presente en sus vidas. Como verán, su vida no es fácil y ella aparenta ser alguien fría y sin sentimientos, pero no es así, ella siente un montón. Y lo que más me gusta es que no es perfecta, comete errores que le cuestan caro. Pero, a pesar de todo lo malo, siempre se permitió tener una pizca de esperanza y saco fuerzas de donde no tenía para superar los obstáculos, y al final quizá las cosas no salieran tan bien, pero ella se permitió perdonar(se) y seguir adelante con su vida. Incluso se animó a formar una familia, se permitió amar y ser amada. Es todo lo opuesto a una heroína, pero es un gran personaje que demostró estar del lado correcto y revelarse contra el sistema opresor en el que vivía como muchas otras mujeres en la historia real de nuestro mundo. Así que es un personaje que me inspira siempre y comparto su visión de justicia y rebelión. Un aplauso para ella 👏.

Hello dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all feeling great. Today I'm stopping by to participate in @marivic10's questions of the week with topics that caught my attention.

Are you one of those who prefers a house with or without a garden? Do you like plants? What do you do to take care of them?

I love houses with gardens and would love to have one. I live in a house that has a patio, but it is all concrete, no soil, I have potted plants. I currently have a lot of cacti and succulents and some potus. I am not having flowering plants, those no more in spring, then in winter they tend to wilt. Now here we are in winter, so I don't water my plants much anymore and I keep some cacti indoors or under cover so they are not affected by rain or frost, and I water them once every 2 or 3 weeks. My other plants I water every other day, just a little, and I try to keep them as well as possible. The good thing about the cold is that there are no pests, but I have to be more careful that they don't get cold or rot because of the humidity, since the environment where I live is quite wet. Then when spring comes, if I start to fix them better and prune them, the new shoots will start to grow stronger and healthier. But the truth is that yes, I would love to have a patio with soil and be able to plant them there without thinking about the pots and changing them when they get too small or break. I also love having plants, I feel they bring joy, color and life to my yard.

Tell me about a female character in a movie, or a book, that you identify with, or that inspired you. What message did it leave you with?

I have so many female characters that I love, I consume both movies and books, so I have heroines to pull up. Although sometimes you don't need to be a great heroine, just an ordinary woman trying to do the best she can with what she has, someone real let's say. Thinking of both I'll name Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. She is just a teenager living in poverty and striving all the time to be the breadwinner of her family, especially her little sister's, since her mother suffers from depression and is not so present in their lives. As you will see, her life is not easy and she appears to be someone cold and without feelings, but it is not like that, she feels a lot. And what I like the most is that she is not perfect, she makes mistakes that cost her dearly. But, despite all the bad things, she always allowed herself to have a bit of hope and she took strength from where she didn't have to overcome the obstacles, and in the end maybe things didn't turn out so well, but she allowed herself to forgive and move on with her life. She even encouraged herself to start a family, she allowed herself to love and be loved. She is the complete opposite of a heroine, but she is a great character who proved to be on the right side and to rebel against the oppressive system she lived in like many other women in the real history of our world. So she is a character that inspires me always and I share her vision of justice and rebellion. Let's hear it for her 👏.
