✨ Iniciativa - Letras inspiradoras: 3 cosas que amo del lugar en donde vivo [ES/EN]

¡Hola hermosa comunidad de Womentribe! Espero que se encuentren todos muy bien y hayan aprovechado el fin de semana para descansar o salir a divertirse, y así encarar esta nueva semana con mucha energía. Mientras pasaba por acá me tope con la iniciativa de @syllem en su columna de Letras inspiradoras que nos propone contar 3 cosas que amamos del lugar donde vivimos y me pareció algo muy lindo para abordar.

El barrio donde vivo tiene muchas cosas malas, pero también tiene muchas cosas buenas que me hacen ver con nostalgia el día que me vaya de acá. Tampoco tengo muy claro si eso sucederá en algún momento, supongo que si consigo pareja haremos nuestra vida en otro lugar, pero me encantaría seguir visitando el barrio donde nací y crecí, ya que acá se encuentran la mayoría de mis recuerdos y mis afectos. Así que bueno, acá van 3 cosas que me gustan mucho de vivir en este lugar.

La gente

Es curioso, hay vecinos que me caen mal, pero a otros los aprecio un montón y me encanta que a pesar de no ser familia muchos me vieron crecer y llegue a formar ciertos lazos de cordialidad. A veces me sorprende salir a pasear con mi perra y en una vuelta a la manzana tal vez salude a 6 vecinos y me paré a charlar con otros 3. Es un barrio que tiene sus falencias, pero puedo decir que hay muy buenas personas y nos encanta ayudarnos en lo que podamos. Quizá sea prejuiciosa, pero siento que si viviera en la capital ahí las relaciones serían un poco más frías, la gente de allá no maneja el mismo ritmo que acá y sería un poco abrumante.

Mis afectos

Se ve que no soy la única que piensa lo mismo o bien mi familia es muy unida, pero mis afectos viven bastante cerca de mí. Uno de mis hermanos alquila al lado de casa y el otro vive un poco más lejos, pero no tanto, aunque ya está en planes de mudarse a una casa de la otra cuadra. Espero que resulte, así tendría a mis sobrinos cerca. No somos una familia muy grande, pero nos queremos mucho y por suerte seguimos juntos. Incluso la familia de su mujer vive unas calles más al fondo. También una de mis amigas que vivía en otro lugar, se mudo con su pareja cerca de mí, a 15 min exactos de distancia viajando en transporte, esto fue un golazo de media cancha de verdad jajaja. Así que amo tener a mis afectos cerca.

Mis raíces

Al nunca haber vivido en otro lugar a veces me cuesta imaginarme yéndome de acá. Otras tantas siento que planté muchas raíces aquí, cree lazos fuertes, no solo con las personas, sino con sus animales e incluso con los lugares físicos, como los parques en los que jugué, las escuelas a las que fui, el shopping en el que pase días hermosos con mis amistades. Siento que si me voy varias de mis raíces se quedarán para que pueda volver cuando quiera y siga sintiendo este lugar como mi hogar.

Así que bueno, tras mucho meditar sobre el tema llegué a estas 3 conclusiones de lo que me gusta de vivir en este lugar. Por supuesto que si estuviera más cerca de la capital tendría todo a mano y otras comodidades, pero no me siento una chica de ciudad. Me gustan los barrios tranquilos, familiares y amistosos.

Hello beautiful Womentribe community! I hope you are all feeling well and have taken advantage of the weekend to rest or go out and have fun, so you can face this new week with lots of energy. While I was passing by I came across @syllem's initiative in her Inspiring Letters column that proposes us to tell 3 things we love about the place where we live and I thought it was a very nice thing to do.

The neighborhood where I live has many bad things, but it also has many good things that make me nostalgic for the day I leave here. I'm not sure if that will happen at some point, I guess if I get a partner we'll make our life somewhere else, but I would love to keep visiting the neighborhood where I was born and raised, since this is where most of my memories and affections are. So, here are 3 things I really like about living in this place.

The people

It's funny, there are neighbors that I don't like, but others I appreciate a lot and I love that despite not being family many of them saw me grow up and I got to form certain bonds of cordiality. Sometimes it surprises me to go for a walk with my dog and in a walk around the block I may say hello to 6 neighbors and stop to chat with 3 others. It is a neighborhood that has its shortcomings, but I can say that there are very good people and we love to help each other in any way we can. Maybe I am prejudiced, but I feel that if I lived in the capital the relationships there would be a little colder, the people there do not handle the same rhythm as here and it would be a little overwhelming.

My affections

It is clear that I am not the only one who feels the same way, or else my family is very close, but my loved ones live quite close to me. One of my brothers rents next door and the other lives a little farther away, but not that far, although he is already planning to move to a house on the other block. I hope it works out, so I would have my nieces and nephews close by. We are not a very big family, but we love each other very much and luckily we are still together. Even his wife's family lives a few blocks down the street. Also one of my friends who lived in another place, moved with her partner near me, exactly 15 minutes away traveling by transport, this was a real half court goal hahaha. So I love having my loved ones close to me.

My roots

Having never lived anywhere else, sometimes it's hard for me to imagine leaving here. Other times I feel that I have planted many roots here, created strong ties, not only with the people, but with their animals and even with the physical places, like the parks where I played, the schools I went to, the shopping mall where I spent beautiful days with my friends. I feel that if I leave, several of my roots will remain so that I can come back whenever I want and continue to feel this place as my home.

So well, after much meditating on the subject I came to these 3 conclusions of what I like about living in this place. Of course if I were closer to the capital I would have everything at hand and other amenities, but I don't feel like a city girl. I like quiet, family friendly neighborhoods.
