📚 Books I want to read this year [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos lectores! Espero que se encuentren todos muy bien y estén teniendo buenas lecturas. Hoy me paso por acá para dejar constancia de algunos libros que me gustaría leer este año. Muchos son pendientes que tengo hace bastante, pero acá les hago la versión corta de los que espero traer novedades en algún momento.

Hello, fellow readers! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some good reads. Today, I'm stopping by to share a few books I'd like to read this year. Many of them have been on my to-read list for quite some time, but here's a short list of the ones I hope to bring you updates on at some point.

El príncipe cruel de la autora Holly Black - The Cruel Prince by author Holly Black

La trilogía la tengo pendiente hace mucho tiempo y considero que es el momento ideal para entrar a este mundo de hadas crueles. Por lo que tengo entendido es un mundo de faes donde hay mucha intriga política y las hadas están bastante divididas, lo que me hace pensar en que quizá sea algo político y conflictivo, pero me encantan este tipo de lecturas. Aunque también me gusta el romance y acá hay uno bastante comentado por lo poco convencional que parece ser.

I've been meaning to read the trilogy for a long time, and I think now is the perfect time to enter this world of cruel fairies. From what I understand, it's a world of faeries where there's a lot of political intrigue and the faeries are quite divided, which makes me think that it might be somewhat political and conflictive, but I love this type of reading. Although I also like romance, and there's one here that's been talked about quite a bit because of how unconventional it seems to be.

Este año se estrena la película, allá por noviembre, y me gustaría tener el libro leído para entonces. Confieso que me cuesta un poco volver al mundo de Panem y eso que soy fan de Los juegos del hambre, también tengo pendiente leer el anterior, la historia del presidente Snow. Aunque si les soy sincera no pensaba leer ese, pero me lo aconsejaron, así que intentaré leer ese y luego este. Sé que es un libro con el que voy a sufrir mucho, pero estoy ansiando poder hacerlo y volver a reencontrarme en este mundo donde las injusticias se hacen presentes y representa la vida misma.

The movie is coming out this year, sometime in November, and I'd like to have read the book by then. I confess that I find it a little difficult to return to the world of Panem, even though I'm a fan of The Hunger Games. I also have to read the previous book, the story of President Snow. To be honest, I wasn't planning on reading that one, but it was recommended to me, so I'll try to read that one and then this one. I know it's a book that I'm going to struggle with, but I'm looking forward to reading it and rediscovering this world where injustice is present and represents life itself.

Creo que ya mencioné el libro muchas veces como futura lectura, y acá estamos, todavía sin leerlo. Pero, este año es el definitivo, lo tengo seguro. Amo la escritura del autor, sus libros me dejan una enseñanza y son muy emocionales. Lo que tengo claro que voy a encontrar en cada una de sus historias es el trope de found family, eso me encanta. A veces uno solo quiere leer sobre coincidir con otras personas y que se vuelvan tu familia soñada. Es de esas lecturas que te dejan el corazón calentito.

I think I've mentioned this book many times as something I want to read, and here we are, still without having read it. But this year is definitely the year, I'm sure of it. I love the author's writing; his books teach me something and are very emotional. What I know I'll find in each of his stories is the trope of found family, which I love. Sometimes you just want to read about meeting other people and them becoming your dream family. It's one of those reads that leaves your heart feeling warm.

Novia de la autora Ali Hazelwood - Bride of author Ali Hazelwood

Ya leí varios libros de romance de Ali y me encantaron. Por lo que espero leer pronto este que se trata de un romantasy y me intriga saber cómo aborda este género en particular. Soy fan de la fantasía y de los hombres escritos por esta mujer, así que estoy entusiasmada por lo que pueda llegar a encontrar en esta historia.

I've already read several romance novels by Ali and loved them. So I hope to read this one soon, which is a romantasy, and I'm intrigued to see how she approaches this particular genre. I'm a fan of fantasy and the male characters written by this author, so I'm excited to see what I might find in this story.

Ya les estaré contando qué tal me va con estas lecturas que no tengo idea de cuándo las empezaré, pero tengan por seguro que lo haré. También hay muchos otros libros, pero estos son los que más me urge por todo el tiempo que llevo queriendo leer. Eso no significa que no venga acá con reseñas de otros libros que nada que ver con estos, ya deberían conocerme.

I'll let you know how I get on with these books, although I have no idea when I'll start reading them, but rest assured that I will. There are lots of other books too, but these are the ones I'm most eager to read because I've been wanting to read them for so long. That doesn't mean I won't be posting reviews of other books that have nothing to do with these ones—you should know me by now.
