¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy si me paso para traerles una reseña de un libro muy ocurrente que leí hace poco y me gustó mucho, tiene de protagonista a un perro llamado Benito que le da título al libro de nombre: El viaje de Benito del autor Alejandro Arroyo.

Hello my reader friends! Today I am dropping by to bring you a review of a very witty book that I read recently and I liked it a lot. The main character is a dog named Benito, which gives the book its title: El viaje de Benito (Benito's Journey) by author Alejandro Arroyo.

La historia gira en torno a Benito, un perro mestizo que se hace llamar a sí mismo el guardián de su familia humana. Un día trágico, se escapa de su casa y tiene un accidente que acaba con su vida. Pero este es el inicio de la aventura, ya que Benito es llevado al paraíso celestial, el reino donde van todos los animales que tienen familia a esperar por ellos para reencontrarse cuando mueran. Aunque Benito no está de acuerdo con este hecho, siente que se fue muy pronto y su familia todavía lo necesita, así que está decidió a pasar por las pruebas del cielo que lo llevará a recorrer los 7 reinos y ser juzgado por cada guardián para ver si es digno de volver una última vez a la Tierra para despedirse de sus seres queridos.

The story revolves around Benito, a mongrel dog who calls himself the guardian of his human family. One tragic day, he runs away from home and has an accident that ends his life. But this is the beginning of the adventure, as Benito is taken to the heavenly paradise, the realm where all animals who have families go to wait for them to be reunited when they die. Although Benito does not agree with this fact, he feels that he left too soon and his family still needs him, so he is determined to go through the trials of heaven that will take him through the 7 kingdoms and be judged by each guardian to see if he is worthy of returning one last time to Earth to say goodbye to his loved ones.

Ustedes ya saben que me encantan este tipo de libros con animales como protagonistas. Los disfruto mucho, pero también hay cierta vena masoquista, ya que es normal que me hagan llorar. Y la verdad es que lloré bastante con esta historia, pero de igual manera la disfruté un montón y me encantó leerla.

You already know that I love this kind of books with animals as main characters. I enjoy them a lot, but there is also a certain masochistic streak, since it is normal that they make me cry. And the truth is that I cried a lot with this story, but I still enjoyed it a lot and I loved reading it.

Benito es un personaje muy querible y se puede ver la clase de perro que fue, es imposible no emocionarse con su historia y lo mucho que ama a su familia y vela por ella incluso en la muerte. Es uno de esos personajes entrañables, lo bueno es que no viaja solo, sino que tiene de compañeros a un gato gris llamado Peter, que también quiere hacer las pruebas del cielo y, ocasionalmente, la guardiana de su reino llamada Venus, una búho muy simpática. Juntos van a vivir las más grandes aventuras y conocer otros animales bastantes curiosos con sus propias historias.

Benito is a very lovable character and you can see the kind of dog he was, it is impossible not to be moved by his story and how much he loves his family and watches over them even in death. He is one of those endearing characters, the good thing is that he does not travel alone, but has as companions a gray cat named Peter, who also wants to do the trials of heaven and, occasionally, the guardian of his kingdom named Venus, a very nice owl. Together they are going to live the greatest adventures and meet other curious animals with their own stories.

Es un libro que no te deja indiferente, es entretenido y conmovedor, con una historia muy tierna y un mensaje bonito y esperanzador acerca de seguir adelante a pesar del dolor y las pérdidas que tengamos en nuestras vidas. Nos recuerda la importancia de ser amables con cualquier ser viviente y que cuando ya no estén hay que intentar recordarlos con una sonrisa en el rostro por todo lo bueno que nos dieron.

It is a book that does not leave you indifferent, it is entertaining and touching, with a very tender story and a beautiful and hopeful message about moving forward despite the pain and losses we have in our lives. It reminds us of the importance of being kind to any living being and that when they are gone we should try to remember them with a smile on our face for all the good things they gave us.

Es una historia maravillosa de leer y si tuviste una pérdida de esta índole te puede ayudar a superarla, o si amas mucho a tu compañero seguro te puede gustar tanto como a mí. Eso sí, prepárate los pañuelos porque vas a llorar mucho, a mí me pasó al principio y después al final. Lo que fue ese final, tuve que parar varias veces la lectura porque las lágrimas no me dejaban leer, pero no era de tristeza, sino de emoción y sentimientos puros y bonitos. Es de verdad un libro conmovedor a pesar de sus aires aventureros y momentos divertidos que también encontrarán en sus páginas. En definitiva, una lectura más que recomendable por mi parte.

It is a wonderful story to read and if you have had a loss of this kind it can help you get over it, or if you love your partner very much you will like it as much as I did. Just be prepared with tissues because you are going to cry a lot, it happened to me at the beginning and then at the end. What was that ending, I had to stop reading several times because the tears did not let me read, but it was not of sadness, but of emotion and pure and beautiful feelings. It is truly a touching book despite its adventurous airs and funny moments that you will also find in its pages. In short, a more than recommended reading on my part.
