¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy les traigo la reseña acerca de un libro de una autora que quería empezar a leer hace rato porque me gustan las comedias románticas y no había leído nada de ella hasta ahora. Les estoy hablando de Book Lovers de Emily Henry.

Hello, readers! Today I bring you a review of a book by an author I've been wanting to read for a while because I like romantic comedies and hadn't read anything by her until now. I'm talking about Book Lovers by Emily Henry.

En esta historia conoceremos a Nora Stephens, una agente literaria apasionada de su trabajo, que le gusta tener el control y ama vivir en la gran ciudad de Nueva York. Hasta que su hermana Libby, a la que no le puede decir que no a nada, le propone ir de vacaciones a un pueblo llamada Sunshine Falls, donde fue la locación de un libro que se hizo muy popular de una escritora con la que ella trabaja. Así que ahora se dispone a pasar un mes completo en un pueblo siendo un bicho de ciudad, pero quizá el lugar haga su magia y conozca al amor de su vida aunque tenga una granja de caballos, o a lo mejor tiene suerte y se cruza con el editor con el que tuvo una discusión 2 años atrás, pero que encuentra en él a alguien que la entiende con solo una mirada.

In this story, we meet Nora Stephens, a literary agent who is passionate about her work, likes to be in control, and loves living in the big city of New York. Until her sister Libby, whom she can't say no to, suggests they go on vacation to a town called Sunshine Falls, which was the setting for a very popular book by a writer she works with. So now she is preparing to spend a whole month in a small town as a city girl, but maybe the place will work its magic and she will meet the love of her life, even if he has a horse farm, or maybe she will be lucky and run into the editor with whom she had an argument two years ago, but who she finds to be someone who understands her with just a glance.

Es un libro que empecé muy entusiasmada, me pareció dinámico y divertido desde el inicio. Pude zambullirme en la historia sin problemas, la cuestión vino en el medio, sentí que lo estaba disfrutando, pero al mismo tiempo no estaba tan enganchada. No me malentiendan, me encantó el libro, pero no fue hacia el final donde volvió a tomar ritmo y me atrapó de nuevo.

I started reading this book with great enthusiasm. I found it dynamic and entertaining from the outset. I was able to immerse myself in the story without any problems. The issue arose halfway through. I felt that I was enjoying it, but at the same time, I wasn't that hooked. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book, but it wasn't until the end that it picked up pace again and drew me back in.

Mis partes favoritas fueron las últimas, esas despertaron algo en mí, allí salió toda la emoción y puede que me haya emocionado un poco, pero en el buen sentido. Algo que amé mucho de esta historia, más allá del romance que fue muy lindo y significativo, es la relación entre hermanas. Esto me hizo emocionar demasiado, esa unión tan pura que se da con alguien que tiene tu misma sangre y que amas tanto que no puedes estar lejos de ella o él. El amor de estas hermanas me llegó al corazón, como Nora cuidaba y se desvivía por Libby fue muy conmovedor. Aunque en ese proceso también se olvidó de su propia vida y dejó postergado un sueño.

My favorite parts were the last ones; they awakened something in me, all the emotion came out, and I may have gotten a little emotional, but in a good way. Something I loved so much about this story, beyond the romance, which was very beautiful and meaningful, is the relationship between sisters. This made me very emotional, that pure bond you have with someone who shares your blood and whom you love so much that you can't be away from them. The love between these sisters touched my heart. The way Nora cared for and went out of her way for Libby was very moving. Although in the process, she also forgot about her own life and put her dreams on hold.

Pero la vida, y en este caso la ficción, nos recuerda que nunca es tarde para ir por nuestros sueños. Algo que rescato mucho del libro es que su historia es muy madura, no sé basa en la toxicidad, sino en las verdaderas relaciones y me encantó que Nora, y todo su círculo cercano, haya priorizado lo que quería en lugar de renunciar a ello de nuevo por seguir los deseos de otros. Aunque esto derivó en la distancia entre algunos de sus seres queridos, pero de nuevo, si el cariño es sincero nada puede alejar a dos personas que se aman.

But life, and in this case fiction, reminds us that it's never too late to pursue our dreams. Something I really appreciate about the book is that the story is very mature; it's not based on toxicity, but on real relationships, and I loved that Nora and her close circle prioritized what they wanted instead of giving it up again to follow the wishes of others. Although this led to distance between some of her loved ones, once again, if the affection is sincere, nothing can separate two people who love each other.

El romance fue otra de mis cosas favoritas, se puede ver cómo debería ser querer al otro sin presiones ni ataduras, solo dejándolo fluir si su destino y su deseo es no quedarse estacando y salir en busca de sus sueños. Me gustó que ambos hayan conectado tan bien y se entendieran con tan solo una mirada, y que ninguno cortara las alas del otro a pesar de la situación en la que se encontraban.

The romance was another of my favorite things. You can see how loving someone should be, without pressure or ties, just letting it flow if their destiny and desire is not to stay stuck and to go out in search of their dreams. I liked that they connected so well and understood each other with just a glance, and that neither clipped the other's wings despite the situation they were in.

Ya me puse cursi jaja, es que amé mucho el final. Fue perfecto y la historia fue muy divertida desde el principio, incluso en las partes tristes, no sé sintieron tan malas porque en un punto sabía que todo iba a estar bien. Y puede que haya sido predecible en cierto punto, al menos yo adivine lo que iba a pasar, eso no quita que no haya sido perfecto, al contrario, fue mucho mejor.

I'm getting corny now, haha, but I really loved the ending. It was perfect, and the story was very entertaining from the beginning, even the sad parts. I don't know, they didn't feel so bad because at some point I knew everything was going to be okay. And it may have been predictable at some point—at least I guessed what was going to happen—but that doesn't take away from the fact that it was perfect. On the contrary, it was much better.

Así que si quieren leer algo ligero, divertido y con su cuota de momentos emotivos este libro es el ideal. El romance no es para nada cursi y empalagoso, pero es hermoso, muy maduro y real. También tiene algunas escenas picantes, pero nada grotescas, estas a veces pueden darme cringe, pero la autora hizo un buen trabajo con ellas, así que estoy totalmente subida a este barco de leer más libros de su autoría.

So if you want to read something light, fun, and with its share of emotional moments, this book is ideal. The romance is not at all cheesy or cloying, but beautiful, very mature, and real. It also has some spicy scenes, but nothing grotesque. These can sometimes make me cringe, but the author did a good job with them, so I'm totally on board to read more books by her.
