What Did 2025 Teach You? What Will You Accomplish In 2026?
As I sit here on December 31, 2025, watching the clock tick ever more closely to midnight, I can’t help but feel that familiar mix of nostalgia and excitement. Another year is wrapping up—365 days of highs, lows, surprises, and quiet moments that shaped us in ways we might not even fully realize yet.
2025 was… intense, wasn’t it?
The world threw a lot at us: geopolitical shifts, ongoing conflicts, breakthroughs in AI, not to mention all those personal battles we each quietly fought behind the scenes. But amid the chaos, there were wins too, big and small. For me, it was a year of new goals, solitude and of growth. More importantly, I learned to appreciate the small stuff: fitness, clearer focus, and that quiet satisfaction of sticking to habits that make me feel stronger, inside and out.
Looking back, 2025 taught me resilience. It was a year of revelation about people and things that no longer serve my best interest. The year wasn’t perfect, no year ever is, but it reminded me that challenges can be setups for comebacks. As one of my favorite quotes goes, “Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” (Hal Borland) Ideally, we carry those lessons forward, not as baggage, but as rocket fuel.
And now? 2026 is a completely blank page. A fresh start. No matter what 2025 brought joy, heartache, progress, or setbacks. This new year is ours to shape. We can face all of the unknowns ahead of us with fear or with hope and optimism. One of these mindsets takes all our power from us, the other amplifies our power.
I’m stepping into 2026 with intention. More consistency, quality time with family, being present, reading lots of books, getting each and every one of my poems recorded and uploaded to YouTube, simplifying my life, prioritizing health and happiness, saving a bit more, and traveling. Above all I'll be leaning into all the things that light me up. Maybe I’ll experiment with some brand new habits like sauna or red light therapy.
Whatever your goals are, whether it’s hitting the gym harder, eating healthier, chasing what seems like an impossible dream, or just being kinder to yourself, know this…
You’ve already proven you’re capable. You made it through 2025. That’s no small feat.
So here’s to closing this chapter with gratitude and opening the next with hope. May 2026 bring you strength, breakthroughs, and many more of those moments that make you think, “Hell yeah, this is what life is all about!”
What Did 2025 Teach You? More Importantly, What Will You Accomplish In 2026?
Happy New Year, friends. Let’s make it an inspiring one.

Good afternoon, dear friend @ericvancewalton
Without a doubt, it has been a very complicated year in many ways, but what you say is very true: challenges are opportunities to rise again.
I love your goals for 2026, and I have no doubt that you will achieve them.
May this new year bring blessings, health, love, and prosperity to your home.
Happy New Year 2026
Thank you Luis! Complicated is the perfect word to describe 2025. I wish you a happy, healthy, and successful 2026!
It is interesting how challenges can drive our development. I want to be excited to witness how we all evolve in 2026. Let's cherish every moment!
For sure!
Happy New Year to you Eric.
Can you share a link to your YouTube poetry. I would love to listen. I also have a channel there where I read my own and others' poetry.
I think if 2025 taught me anything it was probably not to count on anything. There are no absolutes and nothing is guaranteed. It may sound weird, but I am actually hoping to enter 2026 with fewer expectations and just more awareness of existing.
2025 was truly a sobering and educational year. 2026 offers us 365 opportunities to continue evolving. I wish you every success. Best regards @ericvancewalton
I like the focus on health, happiness, and meaningful connections. Those goals matter more than anything else.
In terms of crypto, I have learned from 2025 that whenever there is a profit, you should definitely get it in this market because even after waiting for four years, it did not seem to be happening this time in 2025. And if I tell you something about my real life here, you should not trust people. People are with you as long as they have work to do with you. After that work is over, people stop seeing you. This is the biggest lesson in life.
Happy New Year, Eric!🎉🥂🍾 Wishing you and your family a fantastic 2026!
2025 was a strong year. I integrated running into my gym habits, ran a marathon, and leaned into the shedding process, aka letting people step in and out of my life while observing inner programs dissolve.
Discernment will be key in the year of the Fire Horse, and yes, I'm going full throttle with six business workshops in Berlin at the end of February and more adventures to come in terms of business, creative writing, and sports while keeping health and family as my number one priorities.
I learnt resilience from last year too, and survival. I learnt that life doesn't always bring opportunities to you, you have to work for them.
Personal development, my finances, relationships, my potentials, are asqcts that will receive my special attention in 2026. I hope I hit my goals or at least come close to. Happy new year.
