Hi there,
I offer another difference of opinion, under the motto of sporting fairness.
I don't know who will win. Suggesting that there is a difference between red and blue. There definitely is in the population. Also in the upper echelons where they hate each other very much, from how I view it.
For example, to say this difference doesn't exist would be entirely in the spirit of Old World Chaos (not to use the word New World Order, Lol).
It would be a hasty obedience in favour of those who want to make ‘no difference’ into a cult. A cult that sees everything as equally undifferentiated, that denies a separation between the ‘I’ and ‘all other objects and subjects’.
It pushes the idea that human consciousness functions as 'purely subjective construction of the world'. Thus it condemns the individual to an uncertain existence that only refers to itself - one hundred percent self-referential thinking, no other authority involved. In which the individual must always and everywhere, regardless of the subject, first assure himself of 'his' reality. In his daily, ordinary life, that is to say.
This inevitably leads to the fact that nobody can describe anything as true in front of each other.
If one person says to another: ‘That tree over there is green’, the person being addressed immediately can ask: ‘But what is green?’ and what do you mean by ‘tree’? And he makes the question sound as if it is extremely profound, as if there is a great and unsolvable mystical secret here. Which can only be understood through mystical out of body/reality experiences, for instance. If you understand IT, you ARE it.
If every single human being has isolated themselves from each other in this way and now has to waste their valuable time by first having to assure themselves of reality with all the other individuals, this results in an endless discussion about ‘reality’. Reality itself, however, exists independently of this debate and can be measured and viewed objectively (also on average). Not in absolute figures, but good enough. Or often only just as good as it can be. That is science. Not speaking of scientists or scientism.
I'd say, it is better to have something as an accepted order in common with a vast part of a population, without having to negotiate about reality every new rising day, over and over again.
Which is Christianity for all of us who were born and raised as so called Westerners. Someone dies? We know the protocol. Someone marries? We know the protocol. Someone is born? We know the protocol. Easter? We know the protocol. Christmas? We know the protocol. Someone sleeps around? We know the protocol. Someone is an addict, brute, lazy fool? We know the protocol. And so on and so forth.
Way better than accepting a world view (or better a world blindness), which does not offer anything but woohoo ...'it's never known, it's a downright mystery' and 'only you can find out'. At the same time saying that you, and all others will become one, a collective spherical unit, again giving it the sound of THE enlightenment of your life, the mega kicker, the best trip one can imagine. You get the idea.
Those are the dream catchers, the worshippers of the mystics, the going farther back in time to the Druids, the wine festivals of Dionysus, to the pagan rites and shamanic rituals, to the horned young prince who pulls Excalibur out of the rock, to all the legendary figures of a past that, because it lies far back in time and has mingled with the human imagination, that to revive it you have to present it as a wonderful dream that will come true. In the future to come. This hedonistic, mystical, orgasmic, sex-orientated, blood-rousing, transhumanistic, fanatic, fantasy games pretend that such live will be good.
So they give you the trips and the shrooms, the pills and the excstacy and their priests (Terence McKenna, for example).
On the political front, such dream catchers make out of the exceptions in human failure our new rights. Ever noticed? Everything, from lying, stealing, killing, intoxicating, divorcing, denouncing - which is seen by Christians as errors - had been or is being legalized or on its way to become a 'human right'.
Back to the beginning, one of the models to explore the future is called "three P's and a W," meaning a possible, probable, and preferred future, plus wildcards, i.e., unexpected, seemingly improbable, but consequential events of both a positive and negative nature.
From this point of view, my preferential outcome would be Trump, since he might be the wild card in this game. Someone who might not obey the dream catchers. Despite them having his balls in their hand, making for
unexpected, seemingly improbable, but consequential events of both a positive and negative nature.
P.S. I now make you more lagging, since I really would appreciate a response to our former exchange. But I wanted to place my bet, before the election.
