Tapizando mis muebles / Upholstering my furniture (Esp/Eng)

En mi publicación anterior hice mención de la compra de una grapadora para madera / tapicería con la intención de cambiar la tela de mis muebles ya que mi perrito y el polvo hicieron muchos estragos en ellos, se veía feo, quería reemplazarlo por semi cuero para que pudiera lavarlo con un paño cada vez que se ensucie.
Afortunadamente la tela a reemplazar es la parte de abajo, el espaldar está intacto, por lo cual busqué un color de semi cuero que se mimetizara con la tela del espaldar, quedó genial.
Tuve éxito y mi grapadora nueva es super genial, no me quedaron doliendo mis manos ni el túnel carpiano, al menos hoy no tanto. Gracias a mi experiencia en esto me quedo como lo quería y muy prolijo, me ahorré mucho dinero mandándolo a tapizar de nuevo, hoy te enseño cómo hacerlo tú mismo.

In my previous post I made mention of purchasing a wood/upholstery stapler with the intention of changing the fabric on my furniture as my little dog and dust wreaked a lot of havoc on it, it looked ugly, I wanted to replace it with semi leather so I could wash it with a cloth every time it gets dirty.
Fortunately the fabric to be replaced is the underside, the backrest is intact, so I looked for a semi leather color that would blend in with the backrest fabric, it looked great.
I was successful and my new stapler is super cool, my hands and carpal tunnel didn't hurt, at least not so much today. Thanks to my experience in this I got it the way I wanted it and very neat, I saved a lot of money sending it to reupholster, today I show you how to do it yourself.

Mis muebles estaban muy manchados y mientras traté varías veces de lavarlo solo conseguía empeorar más la situación, no había otro remedio que cambiar la tapicería.
Gracias a Dios estos muebles son muy sencillos de trabajar, al voltear los muebles me di cuenta que estaban sujetos con tornillos tira fondo y no fue muy difícil retirarlos para remover la parte que debo reemplazar.
Guardé los tornillos para usarlos nuevamente al terminar ya que están en muy buen estado.
Me dí cuenta que 2 metros de tela no alcanzaba para el largo del mueble más grande, pero eso no es problema, creo que quedaba mucho mejor si llevaba costuras, se vería más profesional.

My furniture was very stained and while I tried several times to wash it, it only made the situation worse, there was no other choice but to change the upholstery.
Thank God this furniture is very easy to work with, when I turned the furniture upside down I realized that it was fastened with bottom screws and it was not very difficult to remove them to remove the part I had to replace.
I kept the screws to use them again when finished as they are in very good condition.
I realized that 2 meters of fabric was not enough for the length of the larger piece of furniture, but that's not a problem, I think it would look much better if it had seams, it would look more professional.

Preferí cortar los cuadrados de los asientos pequeños y a partir de allí poder hacer mejor la división del mueble grande.
Luego de cortar el semi cuero en dos partes para el mueble grande, uno cosiendo con la máquina de coser, con una costura recta y luego zig zag.
Luce muy bien.

I preferred to cut the squares of the small seats and from there to be able to make the division of the large piece of furniture better.

Es el momento te pegar las grapas...
Recomendaciones personales:
Cuando tapices tus muebles procura reemplazar toda la tela y no colocar la tela nueva sobre la vieja, para evitar traspase la suciedad a la tela nueva.
Despega el forro del fondo y una vez que terminas de ajustar el tapizado vuelve a pegarlo, quedará más prolijo.
En mi caso no quise hacerlo porque mis muebles no están viejos y el tapizado es de semi cuero.
Se comienza por colocar una grapa en cada centro estirando la tela.
Las esquinas procura que no queden arrugas y los menos doblez posibles. Comienza siempre con una grapa en secciones específicas.

Personal recommendations:
-When upholstering your furniture, try to replace all the fabric and do not place the new fabric over the old one, to avoid transferring the dirt to the new fabric.
-Peel the lining from the backing and once you finish adjusting the upholstery, glue it back together again, it will be neater.
In my case I didn't want to do this because my furniture is not old and the upholstery is semi-leather.
Start by placing a staple in each center stretching the fabric.
The corners, make sure there are no wrinkles and as few folds as possible. Always start with a staple in specific sections.

Una vez estamos seguros que estiramos y fijamos la tela lo suficiente, ahora procedemos a colocar más grapas por seguridad.
Si es necesario corta la tela sobrante si quedó mucha.
Al voltear queda como en la imagen, quedó estupendo. Ahora lo vamos a presentar en el mueble grande mientras me lleno de mucha emoción y satisfacción.

Once we are sure that we have stretched and secured the fabric sufficiently, we now proceed to place more staples for safety.
If necessary, cut the excess fabric if there is too much left over.

Todo el procedimiento explicado en pasos anteriores, lo repetimos con los dos muebles pequeños.
Comenzamos por fijar las partes del centro con una sola grapa esturando la tela.
Tratamos que las esquinas queden con menos pliegues posibles y no quede arrugado.
Fijamos el resto con las grapas.
Presentamos las piezas tapizadas al mueble y fijamos con los tornillos.
A todas estas mi perrito siempre al lado mío saboteando mi trabajo, al parecer no le gustó mucho el frío del semi cuero, antes tenía una camita que le hice con almohadas pero como vi que se sentía más cómodo sentado en los muebles, lo dejé, creo que ahora mi perrito si considerará acostarse en su propia camita.

All the procedure explained in previous steps, we repeat it with the two small pieces of furniture.
We begin by fixing the parts of the center with a single staple, sealing the fabric.

We fix the rest with the staples.
We present the upholstered pieces to the furniture and we fix them with the screws.
My little dog is always next to me sabotaging my work, apparently he didn't like the cold of the semi leather, before he had a little bed that I made with pillows but as I saw that he felt more comfortable sitting on the furniture, I left him, I think that now my dog will consider lying on his own little bed.
