Milestone Moment: 6 Years on Hive!

I was wandering around Hive...like ya do and saw a notification from @hivebuzz:

It's funny how the small action I took in August 2017 has had such a long-lasting impact to me in August 2023. Even though I walked away from blockchain blogging not long after I began, the fact I could come back to it 3 1/2 years later on Hive has been nothing short of the best kind of tree planting.

They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time to plant a tree is today.

I'd like to think that each post is another seed in the ground. Every person who listens and watches what I am doing as a blockchain-based content creator is another tree being planted in the ground. In their overwhelmed and bewildered state of newness they may not know the impact of being a creator on Hive, but years down the line they will look back (much like I do today) and thank their former self for taking the action to plant their tree.

Thank you @mamarhea for putting Michael Taggart on stage at your conference to tell us all about crypto and the power of the blockchain. Even if most of what he said was way over my head, the one thing that stuck was that I could blog on the blockchain and maybe make some money from it. Thank you @shainemata for picking up the phone to call me. Those words, "Hey, I've been doing this thing for a couple of years and I think you should take a look at it." changed everything for me and my family.
