monomad challenge smells the roses
earlier today i was out walking on Lillevik Beach, the one with with all the driftwood. to my dismay a tractor had been there and moved all the logs and boards off the beach and into the edge of the forest. there were deep tracks in the sand and i wondered how it had accessed the beach as there is no road and the trail i take is wide enough but there were no tracks.
anyway, there is more to this beach than just nice driftwood but it was also high tide and much of the sand and many of the nice rocks were submerged so i focused in on the row of wild roses in bloom along the forest edge. luckily the tractor had not disturbed any of them. up close the fragrance was wonderful
one of the roses had a snail in it. there are plenty of insects buzzing in and out of the blooms but snails are not so common
so i got in as close as i could with my S22 and took a few shots
this shot is edited to very low contrast. it's something i rarely do because it usually makes the image dull and flat but when i increased the highlights the image remained vibrant and looks slightly surrealistic, more like a painting
of course there were plenty of other more typical looking lovely flowers that brightened up the greenery
Excellent work 👏
