entry smash 390: an unexpected double shadow

the morning sun was shining on the front of our house as my wife entered through the door carrying a small basket of freshly picked mangoes on her head. so her shadow was cast on the marble floor in the entrance hall. her shadow was accompanied by sunlight filtering through the mango tree in front of the house in a diffuse mix of light and shadow. all this is both nice and good, especially the mangoes, but not the main reason i chose this shot as my contest entry.

there is an unexpected double shadow of my wife on the green wall. this shadow is not directly from the sun but from the sun's reflection on the polished marble landing just outside the door. notice the shadow is weaker and there is no trace of any of the shadows of mango leaves like the ones that are on the floor. beside her shadow is the shadow of the children's chair, also cast from the reflected light.
