entry smash 386: summer chillin' on the rocks

when it gets too hot my shadow often takes a walk out to the rocks down by the sea. there are a few okay beaches around but he likes it much better out on the rocks where only a few others venture. here he can find a place and just lay back and chill and when the sun gets too hot he just takes a dip. you might be surprised how warm the water gets this far north. as long as the waves aren't too big he has no problem finding a spot to climb back up again. but if the waves are crashing even he can have a tough time getting safely out of the water so he just lets the spray splash over him. i don't know about you but that's what i call chillin

two points of rocky land stick out in the sea close to each other but with water between. i was sitting on one with the very low sun behind me so my shadow was cast almost horizontally onto the other rocky point. the conditions have to be just right or it does not happen so it is fun to see when it does
