if you want to see birds in funny poses and situations it's a good idea to put a bird bath in a place you have a good view without disturbing the birds. we have several but there is one in particular that the birds prefer because there are several bushes and trees nearby where they can perch and check out the surroundings and then easily access the bath.

this bath is popular among a variety of species. here are some shots of an Oriental Magpie Robin (Copsychus saularis). they are one of the most common birds in our garden and it is a delight to have them. not only do they brighten the day with a variety of pleasant songs with some imitations of other birds mixed in but they also eat a range of insects as well.

so we do what we can to make them welcome

it's a win-win arrangement for sure
