entry prompt 2726: aluminum frame

(Edited)

timer is set to 5 minutes so off we go

last year my neighbour gifted me a print whose original is hanging in the national art museum here in Norway. it's from one of Norway's most famous artists and the scene is from our town. the painter stood about 50 meters from our house when he painted it. so it's a lovely item to have but i don't have any wall space where it is done proper justice. so i thought i would pass it on to my son. so i went to the framing studio and asked for a suggestion of how to frame it. the man studied the print and was clearly not impressed.

he asked me how i would like an aluminum frame. i was almost shocked and thought he was joking but apparently he wasn't. i took the print and left the shop making it quite clear that i was not satisfied with the service and suggestion.

when the timer ran out i thought i had done quite well managing to complete the thought just in time. upon rereading it i immediately noticed i had left out a key detail, the original painting is over 100 years old, portraying how the harbor looked back then.

i know what's in my head but getting it down in free flowing text with no looking back is not easy. gotta keep practicing
