This is something you'd hoped to never see.

But yet -

I AM SEEING IT.

What exactly does it mean?

If you've ever been in the dCity/BeeSwap server over the past couple of years and paid attention to any of the chats that have gone on over that time period, you will have noticed that @gerber doesn't have nice things to say about Hive since his proposal wasn't fully funded. Which, goddammit @freedom and @allyougreedyassholes, it should have been! So I can feel the angst and desperate dissent that he must feel. It isn't fair by any means, it is/(was?) one of the best and easiest to navigate, hive-engine trading and staking platforms built on Hive.

Since the recent dismissal of dCity, I have done a Discord server purge and that particular server did not make the keep list. So, I have no idea what is being said over there right now. I have defaulted to using TribalDex and will likely use @stoodkev's new(ish) interface for swapping a lot more now. Especially since half of what I do is on the fly via my phone. (Great job Kev, keep up the good work!)

My biggest despair, would be if he just trashes it and doesn't respond to the people that want to take it over and keep it running. See that PIMP District icon down there @gerber? Come join us and let's work something out! I (and countless others) would be very sad to see this app fall by the wayside.

You'll notice the search bar in that last graphic. I tried swapping some of this and that to get the first one you see and then - nothing. So I refreshed and did all the things like changing nodes and still, nothing. Hit the beacons to see even. So I went with the most popular pair and after about a five minute wait, that even worse graphic you see there popped.

We have options thankfully, but still. With the retention rate at pretty close to an all time low and activity numbers already dwindling, this would be/(is?) another big hit behind dCity. Can't say we didn't see it coming though, am I right? Maybe it's just a hiccup and it'll be fixed today. But maybe, just maybe, this is the end of BeeSwap.
