Epiphany ~ or ~ Witness Resignation

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, about what is worth my time and effort, and, what just isn't something that should even be bothered with. I was a witness for over 5 years. In that time, the highest rank I achieved was 47. After running the numbers and looking at what I have put into Hive supporting the infrastructure, I have barely broke even.

After 5 years.

I see no point in continuing a pursuit that is financially meaningless because let's face it - every witness is hoping to be compensated. It was an investment. I figured I would have at least cracked the top 40 by now, I mean, Witty is a household name and you can't even think about a PIMP the same way anymore.

So, I am taking some advice from from Kenny Rogers and knowing when to fold 'em. There are still games to be played, and, I am a player. I am not turning my back on The Alliance. I am not dropping my token(s) in the trash. I'm still and will be here.

I've been through some serious shit the past few years. Between losing my dog, niece, and house to a fire? I'm amazed I have a quarter of an inkling of the sanity I do.

I own a keyboard, but I'm no keyboard warrior. I battle in real life even more proficiently. I'll keep showing up where I'm wanted and feel it is necessary to chime in.

I see plenty of great things ahead. I guess you could call this 'trimming the fat' from the roast beast. I'm just being me. It's all I know how to be. What you need to do, is REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even as I Will.

You never got help or ahead by being a Witness. If anything, it slowed you down.

Thanks for everything you put into this as a Witness. I am glad you are still sticking around, especially for the other projects you are a part of like the Veterans Community and CAV token. Your a straight up f-ing PIMP!

You sure worked your butt off, and no matter what you been through you ALWAYS Showed up where you been needed. Also never failed to support People, helped whoever needed you.
All pimp things, all communities, games, RL kids activities and whatnot. And even if Im sure you been ready to quit at times you still here and more active than most.

Also you been through much loss, your house and friends who treated you wrongly. I wish I could heal some of it but know you not alone and we SEE you 😍
Know you and all you do that many fail to see. Wish you would have got the Credit you deserve and I must admit that when you did a big climb on the Witness board I actually thought you be in top by now.

Do what feels right for YOU and I support you 200 %

Brother! Just keep being you!
You are doing great things on the platform.
If the witness is slowing you down, drop it!
You don't need that to help people and make the platform a better place.
Sometimes it is funds that can be used to promote and help build the ideas you are doing now.

I don’t get how you haven’t cracked the top 20. That’s not only ridiculous but an insult. You put your heart an soul into it all. Since they don’t appreciate your value, I want to tell you how valued you really are. It is their loss not yours. You are a stand up dude and have always been a helping hand. You got my support with whatever decision you make.

You worked hard at it and you got high up there - but for all the reasons that we can never truly know - and probably shouldn't even waste the time to ponder... you didn't break that 40.

and you know what? that's ok. cuz you did a lot more worthy things than be top 40. and that's what we will all cherish (and still continue to make more memories) Reallocating your time is not only wise - but necessary. Put it where it makes the most sense to you and find that joy!!! and appreciation!!! and let it resonate!

Life is a constant reassessment of who we are right now, what brings us joy right now, and how best to expend our energy right now. And when we discover that we are doing things that no longer represent what we want to be doing or where we want to be investing our time; when the joy dissipates or we realise that there is an imbalance forming between the effort being expended and the energy being drained vs the progress we are hoping to see, it's time to call time, honour yourself - give yourself the value you deserve. It's a good practice. Sensible in a world that's already too busy. And it's surprisingly difficult to do. So respect. 👍🏻

I'm just learning this too. I hear a lawnmower in a nearby garden and nod to myself now. Like that.

Cut out what doesn't bring you joy and peace is my thing. Obviously without bypassing shit. My new thing.

And if it's work related and income and output aren't productive or worth it then why even? In an already too busy world.

I think learning to hone, manage and focus, as an ideas person or creative, should be offered as extended learning! 🤔

Also. I stay close to people who accept me for me. These days. And keep a friendly distance from the rest. All good. Different strokes, right?
