Every bit of mankind discovery is as a result of a little spark of curiosity, which is how the journey of my rising star game play began. Everyone gets on-board on hive for different reasons and gradually as our knowledge of hive blockchain grows we began explore different areas of interest. My exploration of hive blockchain games began with a spark of curiosity when I read a post about a year and some months ago, exactly that is how long I have been playing rising star. I have always considered games on hive blockchain to be complex and not everyone is a Dev, especially me. This factor has kept me from exploring games on hive blockchain but after I read that post which was specifically written on rising star game, more like game play tutorial and guidelines.
It became an eye opener for me, I suddenly felt a push and gradually I began my rising star game journey. I registered and began to play the game, I must say at first it felt like I fell into a labyrinth at first, there were lot of places to click. Thanks to the post I read I had some of information before diving into the game which assisted me navigating my way in the rising star game. After getting on-board in rising star game I discovered the game play guidelines sector "FAQ".
The beautiful thing about rising star game is that a lot of time and effort was invested in creating all sort of guidelines tutorial which can be found at any point in the game. I mean anyone could easily find themselves in a complex situation, you don't know what a specific sector means or what you are suppose to do there but thanks to the guidelines tutorial you get to have access to detailed explanation about every sector of the rising star game.
Which was what helped me in getting started in the game and gradually I grew. One of the funniest thing I did when I joined the game was that I never knew the game was an IDLE game, you could start a mission and go back to it when you feel the time has elapsed, so what I did was anytime I start the game which I usually access through my hive keychain app, I have never been a fan of rising star chrome extension option, I prefer to just play the game in the browser extension of my hive keychain app.
So when I open the game in my hive keychain, I start a game just like every other beginner but instead of me to just start the game and come back later when the time must have elapsed I kept feeling that if I should leave the timer might stop so I prefer to just keep my phone in my hands and watch till the time elapsed.
Since the first three missions in home town only last for about 5-25 minutes, holding my phone in hand and watching the time elapse wasn't a problem but it was definitely concerning. I can't really remember how I figured it out but when I did my ignorance became an amusement. For the first few months that I joined I played the game every single day, it was part of my daily routine. As I crossed level 15 I realised something called ego exist. So I play music lessons during the day and missions with long durations like "Local mini support" when I'm busy in order to balance my ego meter, level up faster and also accumulate starbits to purchase cards. I used some hive in my wallet to purchase starbits which assisted be buying more card packs.
Slowly and gradually, I started discovering other interesting features in the games like the "rave". It definitely took me awhile to realise I needed a fan card to participate in the rave and I have participated in 266 raves.
It could have been more, my rising star game journey was put on hold at some pointed when I changed my location and moved to another place which kind of messed up with my network IP address. I did complain in the discord server but it felt there was no way around it since the issue was with my network provider. During those times I stopped playing the game for about 3 month or more, though during those times I only stop by once in awhile to see if I'm lucky enough to have access to my rising star account. Those were tough days for my rising star game journey. I mean if weren't for that with the way I'm passionate about the game I would have definitely crossed 100 level milestone long time ago.
I guess a win is still a win regardless of when, I surpassed 100 level about a week ago and I said to myself I have to make a post about this. I mean it definitely takes effort to make it this far. But then now I look forward to crossing 200 level milestone hopefully and I have no idea how long this is going to take 😅. It has been a wonderful journey so far, who would have believed that all this was just from a spark of curiosity.
This write-up was inspired by my experience in the risingstar game.
