Opinionated suggestions necessary for the improvement of hive blockchain.

Hive blockchain has developed and improved over the years providing users extraordinary blogging experience. it is no doubt that among every other platforms of its kind due to its decentralised structure that allows users to make use of the platform without the fear of being censored or silenced by speaking their truth. hive blockchain is one of the only platforms that allows user to express their libertarian rights without limitations, it is quite fascinating to witness the existence of a platform that encourages Freedom of speech and expression. equality among users without any application of segregation among users based on age, gender or account value.

Everyone is privileged to be offered Equal opportunity on hive to be used as you see fit, with major projects and promotions that encourages creation of quality content and reward for immense creativity among its users. it is quite amazing when you think of the availability of content readers and audience, this allows authors to freely express their creativity and imagination without the pressure of thought such as "who would read what I have written" you don't have to go outside your comfort zone to start recruiting ghost readers to add to your content views. the quality of your content naturally attract it readers.

It offers users the learning opportunities which is available at different phases, from learning about crypto currency due to the need to constantly covert rewards and purchase second layer tokens, a strategic willingly learning process without being paid for😅. not to talk of the rate at which it has encouraged users to further improve their writing skills and techniques and still earn while learning. creating a new generation of content creators, investors and graphic designers.

Most people wouldn't have known any better if they didn't encounter hive blockchain, especially how it encourage users to abstain from plagiarism which seems to be hive number one rule among many others, this has allow a lot of us to understand the need to give credit to authors whenever and wherever we decide to use their works, hopefully someday it will be a globally accepted phenomenon that will be widely accepted across the globe because we have a lot people taking credit for others work these days without feeling remorseful about it especially in the aspect of research data which has been a copy and paste revolution.

Thankfully with added benefits of different communities available on hive, promoting originality of content and ensuring the effectiveness of no plagiarism policy, especially in this era of AI generated contents. A lot could be said about hive blockchain and it's advantages, I could go on and on till I run out words but I wouldn't want to bore you with that because that isn't the primary subject of this write up, may be someday I might find myself writing about "Hive blockchain and it's added advantages" you better not write about it before I do😂

I have been navigating on hive blockchain for a couple of years now, learning and growing my account in order to ensure a successful hive career. over the years despite the amazing opportunities provided by hive blockchain which I have been privileged to enjoy, I believe there is always room for improvement for every existing platform to increase the comfortability of users while making use of the platform for their daily activities. There are few tips I can think of that can be helpful to better improve hive blockchain and cover some lapses.

HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF HIVE BLOCKCHAIN.

• 1) AN INTERFACE FOR ALL FRONTENDS: When I first joined hive blockchain I had little or no knowledge of the existence of other frontends on hive, it took me a couple of months before I discovered other frontends. I have always felt it would be a lot easier if there were some kind of shortcut to every frontend within the Hive interface. that will instantly redirect users to each frontends without having to search for it. I believe if this were to be the case it would make it a lot easier for newbies to discover these frontends a lot faster.

• 2) MARKDOWNS USAGE: it is known to be a text format, specific commands or symbols used to beautify and add more quality to your content on hive. some of them are simple and some are complex, you can read further about it in a post I made recently. At some point, while editing your post you might feel the need to make use of this markdowns to beautify your post but the fact that you have not fully memorised the text format of the markdown, it serves has an hindrance in making use of it, even some of the oldies on hive are unable to correctly implement the text command, instead they go around trying to copy and paste the text command which can be quite stressful sometimes. there are different communities with their frontends but the markdowns available in the "create a post" page are limited. I believe it would have been a lot better if other markdowns could be added , which will save us from the stress of copying and pasting of text commands.

• 2) HIVE/HBD SAVINGS: Most of us are familiar with this already, this is a feature of hive blockchain that allows a user to save up hive or HBD while also acquiring interest but as amazing as this feature is, it has a specific condition. the withdrawal from this saving is subjected to 3 days waiting period. though different people save up using this method for different reasons but some of us actually set aside some hive/hbd and save it to up so that we could have something to fall back to during raining days compared to waiting for almost 7 weeks for complete power down of the amount needed. but in a case of emergency, probably a user needs to get some funds out of his/her hive/hbd savings but have to wait for 3 days before withdrawal it does not really help. reduction of this withdrawal waiting period will help a lot of users to make use of this feature knowing they could have access to their funds in times of emergencies.

• 3) CENSORSHIP & REGULATION OF UNNECESSARY DOWNVOTES: Downvote is the opposite of upvote, while upvotes increases your rewards and reputation, Downvotes does the opposite. it is not really a feature that is frequently used on hive because a lot of us know how it could affect people's account but it is also used when necessary especially when you disobey community rules or publish inappropriate content/comment, it just means as long you obey the rules you won't be Downvoted. but this is not always the case, there are cases whereby this Downvote feature is used to bully hive users. there was a friend of mine I invited him to hive about a years ago, An individual commented on one of his post, the person had a contrary opinion to what he wrote, which is fine because on hive there is freedom of speech and expression. despite him trying to play cool with this person, this person kept on making use of racist offensive languages. this friend of mine stopped replying the person to prevent the matter from escalating but immediately after the whole confrontation happened he was Downvoted by two individuals who are not affiliated to the community and that was how he lost the entire reward for that post. As at then he was still a newbie to show how important those rewards must have meant to him. he couldn't do anything about it and I couldn't also. this event happened in January, he made another post after that incident in January but after then he just abandoned his hive account, I tried persuading him but it didn't work out. what really pained me was that he was an amazing and passionate writer who could have made great contributions to hive blockchain. he was not the only one this has happened to over the years. I believe there should be a way to regulate this Downvote bullying.
