The Wishing Star And Reality

(Edited)

I am someone who believes in reality and action; anything that has to be hoped for without one necessarily putting in the work often gives me a tough time accepting.

Some probably would say, “You don't have faith, you are walking by sight,” and so on, but even in the Bible, there is a portion that says, “Faith without works is dead.”

I think we get it wrong when we fold our arms and hope that things work out in our favour. For me, that is laziness and settling for disappointments, because in most cases like that, the result won't be favorable.

This is why I have a problem with anything that has to do with wishes. If it's going to happen simply because we wish for it, then it's a fantasy; it may never see the light of day.

To be frank, I don't believe in the story attached to a wishing star. I don't have any reason for that, but I believe that everything in life needs work or action to come into reality.

The shooting star might be special, its appearance might be something beautiful to behold, but it doesn't give it the power to bring our desires into reality.

Of course, sometimes we can wish on a shooting star and miraculously have what we want granted, but it is not guaranteed; it might even be luck or your work that made it a reality.

I have never wished on a wishing star, and I doubt if I have seen one; maybe I did, and I didn't know. If you ask me, sincerely, I wish to see it, but when I do, I don't think I'll be wishing on it; I'll just enjoy the view.

This is just my opinion on wishing on the shooting star; it is not a law. Everyone has what they believe regarding the matter.

They say, “What we believe is what works for us.” So, I can talk for others. If you believe that the shooting star brings wishes to reality, I won't say no, and if you don't believe that mere wishes can make things happen, you are still right, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Exactly, if wishes are horses, all men will go to bed hungry. Because nobody will be willing to work or put in effort. They will alI fold their hands wishing for manna to fall from heaven. I use to belief this luck chant but the moment my sister revealed the dynamics, i ended it.

I've not seen it either and I love that you ain't imposing your thoughts on others. Others may choose to believe in it, that still doesn't make them lazy if they work towards their wishes and not just folding arms like you mentioned
