Having superpowers is one thing I fantasized about so much as a kid. Watching those characters in movies do wonders with their powers got me wishing I had one or more. Although as a lad, my wishes were for my childish desires as I grew up, I began seeing the reason why most superheroes in movies chose to use their superpowers to help people and not to satisfy their lusts.

If I were to have one super ability, I would go for fortune giver. I know you probably haven't heard of this superpower before. Let me expatiate a bit. It's a superpower that is associated with luck. Anyone having it can give out luck to people and also himself if the person so wishes.

Life is too hard these days, it seems like without luck, an average person can't go anywhere in life. Nowadays, only the the rich and those with connections seem to be at the top, if you don't have any of the two I mentioned above, you are in trouble because even if you have the highest level of qualifications in the world, you would still be neglected.

They keep telling us there are no job vacancies in government organizations, yet the children of the rich are getting jobs every day. Is it that their own world is different from ours? The rich are getting richer but the poor man with his skills and expertise is still getting poorer. People don't just want to lift others who can't offer them anything in return.

At one point, they said "Young people, are lazy" I admit some persons are lazy but the majority are not, who loves poverty? These days Young people are out there doing anything possible to succeed but they are not favored by those who ought to support them. How many nonworking graduates do we have all over the world? Even if they can't get government jobs, at least if they are given some form of empowerment it will help but the reverse is the case.

This is why people are into different things just to earn a living, nowadays young people are willing to go to any length, to make money. You hear of kidnapping, ritualism, robbery, Internet fraud, and so on. If all of them were working and making good money, I bet you some of them wouldn't have chosen those wrong ways. This thing hurt me so much and I wish I could do something about it.

How I am going to use my superpowers?

If I have the ability to give people luck, what I'll do is go about giving anyone who is willing to leave his or her comfort zone luck in whatever they do, be it business, or anything at all provided it is legal. I'll find a means to get people to apply for government jobs and before they go for an interview I'll secretly come and give them luck because I would love to remain anonymous.

I just want to alleviate poverty, anyone I see doing anything good, I'll go and give him the luck to prosper. Nobody will fail where I am. If I remember some of my mates in school who came from poor families, and paid their fees in school but failed exams because they are not too sound academically, I feel so bad for them. If I had that power, people like them would just be lucky, whether they read or not, they would not know how they passed.

Those who are sick at home and in hospital whose chances of survival is small, I'll visit them and give them luck. Those who are to undergo surgery and the the chances of making it 50/50, I'll quietly visit them and make them get lucky.

Those who are breadwinners in their families will just find themselves prospering, whatever they touch will be fruitful, and anything they lay their hand on will work. Life is hard and people are suffering. If only wishes were horses, I would love to bring relief to everyone.

Accident will drastically reduce, people who ought to be involved in an accident will just narrowly escape. Accidents that ought to occur will some how be averted through luck. I will make sure i use my power to bring smiles on the faces of people.
