The Need For Domestic Robots

Whenever I see my mom waking up very early to tidy the house and cook, then go to her restaurant, do the same, and still serve customers, I wish I had the means to get a machine that would do all that for her.

Some men won't understand this because they feel the role of the woman is to do house chores and take care of the babies. I have heard some men even tell their wives that they are not contributing anything to the family simply because they are not supporting financially.

If only roles can be switched for a day, let the man do the house chores and take care of the baby, then probably such men will understand better.

The work is too heavy. House chores and babysitting is not an easy task at all. This is why only a few individuals opt for cleaning and babysitting jobs.

I am lucky to come from a family where house chores are shared by the children. I have been privileged to wash plates, cook, wash clothes, and also take care of my younger ones.

Trust me, the experience was not a nice one. Ordinarily, it looks like a casual task, but when it is done over and over, it becomes annoying.

My jaw often drops whenever I hear people say doing house chores is their hobby, it amazes me honestly but they say “One man's poison is another's food.”

However, no matter how much pleasure some people derive from house chores, it doesn't negate the fact that they are exhausting.

This is why I respect women, they can go to work come back tired yet create time for those chores.

I know it looks like they are fine with it but behind the smile on their faces is a desire to have someone or something to take over such responsibility from them.

Therefore, if it were possible to have a machine that would assist us with all house chores including taking care of our babies, I think it is going to be much appreciated.

People work a lot, we dedicate so much more time to work than we give to ourselves to simply relax and recover.

Like I said earlier, some people will go to work and come back instead of getting some rest, they will start doing the chores in the house.

Sometimes before they finish, there won't be enough time to have a good sleep anymore and this can go on for years.

I have seen many people fall sick because of things like this. Some people say they are used to it but I don't buy into that, you can be used to something that is a threat to your health. It's so unfortunate that there is nothing we can do about it.

If such machines are available, I know they will be expensive to obtain but they will help.

Regarding the issue of what people will do with their time when those chores are no longer in the picture, I think it is not a crime to use the time to rest.

Get enough sleep, build yourself, and invest your time into something productive. I know some people might become lazy because of that but some will use that time wisely.

Time is an asset on its own, if we invest it into something great, we will live to be grateful for such a decision, and I am sure the majority of people will do just that.

It doesn't matter whether it will make people more dependent on robots or not, as long as the invention will earn us time and it will not take away jobs from people, I think it will be a savior.
