The last 24 Hours Was A Great Experience

Usually, Sundays are my resting days, I keep everything aside, including looking for money and giving myself some rest. The body is not a machine, it needs to rest too. They say too much of everything is bad.

I don't know if this is just with me or if it happens to everyone but Sundays are usually boring for me. Most times I feel like screaming when Sundays arrive. Nevertheless, yesterday turned out to be unique, a friend of mine gave me an invitation to their house opening a few days ago, I kept that in mind for days but I don't know how it escaped my memory when the day arrived.

I was not able to go to church, and honestly, I don't have any tangible reason for that. I know being alone without doing anything would definitely trigger boredom, but I decided to take the risk. Often I watch movies on Sundays but yesterday things changed, I have about fifty new movies on my phone but I was not in the mood to watch anything.

I managed to scale through from morning until 2:00 pm, it was then that things got intense, so I decided that I was going take a walk into the community. while I was just going out of my house, my phone rang, it was my friend that invited me to their house opening, "Hello; bro won't you come again? they are about to start." " I am so sorry, I almost forgot about it but I am coming right away," I replied.

That call was God sent, thank God the site is not that far from where I live, so I trekked down there. Arriving at the venue, the place was already filled with people. Gosh, I don't really like crowds, I was just praying for the guy to come outside so we could go in together, but I didn't see any sign of him. I waited a bit and his younger sister came out, I inquired about him, and I was told he went to get some things from the town, he would be back soon. You may wonder why I didn't call him, well, I wasn't having airtime hehe.

I used that opportunity and followed her inside, she gave me a seat and I pulled out my phone and started chatting in order to put myself together. The crowd was much, even the boy's mother was surprised with the way people turned up for them.

A few minutes later their pastor prayed, gave exhortation and we went around the house and made positive declarations on it. That was the first time I witnessed a house opening service. It was beautiful. The boy later came and met me there, and I became comfortable.

After everything, food was shared, thanks to God, I waited long for that moment because I didn't cook before leaving home and those guys down there were already knocking. The occasion was a nice one. His mother got me emotional when she was asked to give a vote of thanks, she cried while talking about paying house rent, hmm! If you live in your own place without anyone coming to bother you for rent and unnecessary complaints about your behavior or that of your children you are lucky. Privacy is very crucial in life.

She made me understand the relevance of having my personal house. Please as we go about looking for money, we should ensure that we make getting our personal house a priority, leaving under the roof of a landlord can be so frustrating and embarrassing sometimes especially if you are married, hmm!! may our kids never experience such? Get a home first for your family before you start to think about getting other mundane things.

What The Event Meant To Me.

Actually, It was something unplanned, my friend never expected me to turn up but I did, he was so happy seeing me. Surprisingly, I was the only person amongst all his friends that he invited that make it there. I am so happy that I was able to make him feel loved. Putting smiles on people's faces is something I esteem highly. If it's worth it, I can do it even to my detriment.
