That One Thing Messing With Me

They say, “There is no end to challenges in life.” As soon as you are done solving one, you will realize that another has been there waiting for you all this while, you just didn't notice it.

Every day, it's as if problems are increasing. Things are no longer like they used to be, you can't even run to someone for help, and your conscience won't even let you do that because everyone is currently facing one challenge or the other, even those you once totally depended on.

I have a number of challenges in life, all very disturbing, however, the one that is most disturbing and giving me sleepless nights is finance.

Money seems to be everything in this world, you need it to be valid and to live a happy life. You need it to settle bills, to survive, and to make those around you happy.

Recently, I discovered that the money I am making both from my physical job and my online job is not enough to meet my needs anymore. I don't want to blame inflation so much, I have done that a couple of times but nothing changed, LOL. I am seeing it as a challenge that demands me to step up

The money I make barely settles my bills, talks more of that of my siblings and you know I have to still provide for them.

Saving that I wanted to prioritize has now become very difficult. The more I tried to, the more situations snatched it from me.

One needs to save and invest for the future but how do you do that when you don't even have enough to eat and to settle bills?

Each time you look at your balance it feels like you are wasting away knowing fully that time is not a respecter of persons.

Nevertheless, I believe that no situation lasts forever, that is one line I used to console myself every day.

Way Forward

They say “There is a solution to every problem except death.” I am not satisfied with the way things are going for me, so I decided to start working on getting another source of income and also adjusting expenses.

Now that things are tough, the best I can do for myself in order to avoid going in is to reduce how much I spend while I work towards getting another source of income.

I am sure if I have money flowing from different streams, the weight of the burden will be light on me.

I have started learning a digital skill. It's the easiest thing I can do for now because of time. I have other jobs. If I decided to go for another physical job, I may not have enough time to attend to everything and that will be a minus instead of a plus.
I trust that in the end, I will have a positive result.

Challenges are tough to endure, they can be very disturbing, snatching our peace and happiness but they are not a death sentence, we can walk out of them.

It may take time, it may take a lot of sacrifices that might be inconveniencing but the result will be great.

I know there are problems that may not be eradicated completely, especially health challenges but they ought not to take our peace and throw us into gloom for life.

We can take our medications, eat properly, enjoy the presence of our loved ones, and appreciate life. You may not get rid of the disease completely, but you can enjoy life and still fulfill your purpose. Nothing is ever a dead end for anyone, but the choices we make matter a lot.
