Physical Books Are Still My Thing

One of the things that keeps me busy is books. It was like a joke how I developed the habit of reading six years ago and today, it has become a part of me.

There are two different kinds of books, the digital and physical books. People have preferences based on their personalities.

Some prefer digital books for reasons known to them while others prefer physical books.

I am among those who prefer to read physical books. It makes reading interesting for me. As I read through the pages holding it in my hands, it makes it real.

Sometimes, I also like to fold pages, draw lines and so on in the book to remind me of certain things and it has been working so well for me.

Digital books are quite good and are taking over the world today but seriously, they don't appeal to me. I easily get distracted while reading them, unless I put my phone on flight mode, I don't read peacefully. It's either I am distracted by calls or I am carried away by notifications from social media.

I know this is indiscipline, but you know temptation is usually high whenever you are closest to the source.

The last time I read a physical book was last month. The title is Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits, by Joyce Meyer.

The title says everything about the book. As humans we are full of habits, some good, some bad. The good ones speaks good of us and also helps us to grow while the bad ones, cause us nothing but pains.

The book talks extensively about habit, it's genesis, how to make them and how to break them.

As humans I believe this book affects us all in one or the other. If you don't want to make new habits, I believe you definitely want to break one.

I picked interest on the book because it's something that affects me. I have read it like three times already and to be honest, it has really impacted my life.

I have not been able to finish it this time around because I have been really busy lately but I hope to finish it this month.

The next book, I might go for is titled, the richest man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason.

I have heard a lot about the book, from my friends, mentors and so on. The book is about money and how to manage it.

I find it intriguing because we live in a world where money is like everything, we do everything possible to get it but sometimes after getting it, we don't know what happens, it goes again.

I am sure this is the experience with many people, today you are in money, tomorrow you are not, so you begin to wonder what the problem is.

i believe the book addresses issues like that. The book might not take that situation away but I am certain that I might pick a few ideas from it that might benefit me.

I don't have a copy yet but a friend of mine has one, as soon as I am done reading this one I am on, I will begin immediately.
